Power hotkey tabs

You know you can have a few hotkey tabs where you slot your powers? I can't get different powers on each tab. Well ive filled them Whenever i slot a new power in a different tab, it slots that power in all the tabs. Is there anyway to have different powers on each hotkey tab?

Cheers!

Are you talking about the detachable hotkey trays or the normal one? Either way that sounds like a strange issue. Make sure first that each tray is flipped to a different number (ie. 1,2,3) using the arrow keys at the left side of each tray.

Switched to a diff section on the tab (1,2 etc), prob solved, except now when i press a number it activates on the first tab only, can you tell me how to use the other hotkey tabs to actually use a power on a hotkey on said tab? Sorry if it's confusing, tried my best.

Alt+<number> activates that position on tab 2, and Ctrl+<number> activates that position on tab 3. Tabs 4-9 don't have a keybind by default.

Roadmaster for even more flexibility you might want to familiarize yourself with Binds and Macros.

You can read more about these powerful tools in the Player Guides/Guide to Binds section (<-linky).

You know, I've been playing this game off and on, and I never knew that. I always used a bind for the second and third rows. That way I only have to press one key instead of two.

Not quite. Alt+<number> activates that position on the middle tray of the group of three, while Ctrl+<number> activates that position on the top tray of the group of three. You can flip the trays to numbers other than 1, 2, and 3 to change a whole lot of bindings in a hurry. Tri-form Warshades can use this to great effect, and I expect most raid leaders use this to change which chat macros they've got active at any given time.

Both kheldian varieties, actually

I also switch trays when I exemplar low enough that my normal set of powers isn't good enough. For example, my lv50 Mastermind doesn't have Sands of Mu in her tray, and Nemesis Staff is in slot 7. However, I've got powers rearranged in tray 8, and I switch to it when I exemplar below my normally used powers.
