What APPs will Masterminds get?

I saw that the NDA was lifted and that Masterminds will be getting Blaster Patrons. Ugh, that's awful (mostly). Still, I cant help but think there are some awkward redundancies in which you could take the same power twice. For example, a /Storm MM could take Snow Storm from both Storm Summoning and Cold Mastery. A /FF MM could take PFF, Repulsion Bomb, and Repulsion Field from both FF and Force Mastery. Are they just going to leave those redundant or are they swapping in other powers? Thanks, Lewis |

I notice that any *villains* who do the patron arc get the patron powers, but if you switch back to a non-villain, can you use the builds with patron powers in them?

These look a little weird at first..but then if you think about it....
Charge Mastery adds a hefty bit of control. I could see it working well with Mercs or Bots.... since both of those primaries have either a AoE knockdown or Stun available. I can Also see charge being pretty nasty with Trick Arrow, Dark, or Traps.
Heat Mastery looks like it will add a good amount of damage to the MM toolbox. MM's do great damage now but imagine all that extra fire damage. This is another set that would go exceptionally well with Trick Arrow, Dark, or Traps.
I was a little wary of these at first, but I think Castle may be experimenting here and giving some Play-style variation to higher level MM's.
My level 50 Dominators:
Madame Mindbender 50 Mind/Energy
Fly Agaric 50 Plant/Thorn
Nate Nitro 50 Fire/Psi

EDIT: BTW, nothing is finalized yet, and as far as we all know it is still subject to change.
I've been testing out the Field Mastery pool on my ninja/poison MM. And I must say, I'm disapointed. Force of Nature is ok and all, but highly situational. I'd rather have the cone imob and single target hold from Soul Mastery.

The MM epics are just a mess.
1) 2 sets include a shield and the other 2 don't O.o???
2) Why in the world do we need moderate dmg ST attacks???? We get 2 from our primary. They should have been ST high dmg attacks (Blaze, BIB ect).
3) EM Pulse will be a clone when MM get /rad (kinda).
I really worry that they will go live and the cottage rule will stop the Devs from dropping powers and replacing them.
My recommendation:
For Chill Mastery drop ice blast and replace with ice storm or frost breath.
For Charge Mastery drop EM Pulse and replace with charged armor.
For Heat Mastery drop fire blast and replace with fire armor.
And for Field Mastery drop power blast and replace with power boost.
Level 50s: to many to remember at this point
Field mastery has 2 aoe/cone attacks. And the damage on them was highly underwhelming. I mean, yeah I can do 24 damage to eight enemies at once... with 3 slotted damage. Whoop de do. Having a cone imob for for slightly more damage, or a more damaging single target hold is more useful.

The pools were a copy and paste, then replace redundant powers process, basically, though I have no idea how the APPs dropped shields in 2 pools since blasters get them, or why single target attacks are in there.
Tankers, Brutes, Defenders, Corruptors, and to a lesser extent Stalkers and Controllers did fine with clones, and Dominators got some amazing replacement powers, but Blasters and Scrappers got lots of weird things, and MMs got extremely weird pools.
A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!

I'd say mastermind heat mastery needs rise of the phoenix to go away and and bonfire moved to its place with fire shield going where bonfire currently is
as it stands heat mastery is the only one of the mastermind APP's without a defensive shield power.

I was excited for it when I saw "Blasters get Mastermind Patron Powers, and vice versa" in the patch notes (http://www.cityofheroes.com/news/pat...patch_not.html).
And my excitement continued when I saw Munitions Mastery listed on the Mastermind wiki page (http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Mastermind).
But the list above seems to mirror what I'm also reading on the Epic Powerset Proliferation page on the wiki (http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Epic_P..._Proliferation).
So, I'm a little confused but I suppose there isn't Munitions Mastery... yet.
