Not relevant. We were informed before anything was put on sale in the NCStore that people buying early wouldn't be getting everything that came with the complete edition, and would have to spend more later.

It wouldn't let my multi-quote, so my questions are missing. I had asked if we knew there would be a special promotion at GameStop later when people were first able to pre-purchase from NCSoft. So Forbin is correct that it's not relevant that GameStop had a special deal, but thankfully he(?) answered the main part of my question. If people knew that the "buy it now" deal wasn't going to be the complete edition that would be available later, then yes it was a decision to get access to the powers now and probably have to buy it again later to get the rest of the goodies and not just bad luck.

Sorry about the "deal with it". In hindsight that was harsh. The forums have had a couple of arguments about the Gamestop issue and it's easy to forget that sometimes it's an honest question and not someone looking for an argument.

I had hoped that by answering your main question it would in turn answer the following questions.

It is unfortunate for people that started the game after those announcements and pre-purchase went on sale, because to them it could easily appear that this was sprung on the player base at the last moment, but it's not the case it is just bad timing.

My impression from what I read from Black Pebble's (The marketing guy) announcements is that the Gamestop offer was something that went thru at the last minute. They held off saying anything until they were certain the deal was approved. Can't really blame them for not wanting to get egg on their faces if they hinted that they were working on a deal and it never happened.

Did you mean nest quotes? You have to show the software who's boss to do that (i.e. edit the quote tags).

Multi-quoting is pretty easy. Just click the box with the quotation marks (between the Quote button and the Quick Reply button). Click the box on each message you want to quote, then go to the bottom of the screen and hit the New Reply button. It will have quotes of all the posts you clicked the button for. You can even include quotes from posts on different pages of the thread. It remembers what you clicked when you load a new page.

Edit quote tags? Why on Earth would anyone do that?
