I know it has to be hard, expecially when you don't delete often or at all. I don't play on other servers and I assume that will pose a problem for me sooner or later after I have bought or earned all of my slot space. :-/
We lost Wynterwylde? Damn... 
Well, look at it this way, we get two new slots with Going Rogue, allegedly, so you can place those on Champion and create more alts.

Sorry to hear about that Witty. Look at it this way though, you now have two new opportunities to make new 50s that will break your heart when you have to delete them.

I wouldn't call it such a horrible thing to consolidate and free up space by deleting 50s. I do it all the time.
Space reserved for a super awesome Signature, someday...
I've never been able to delete a 50, I lost count of how many I have. but going to say close to 30 scattered across multi accounts/servers. Got some Pre-ED toons still hanging around.

Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character.
The thing is, I've got so many characters running around that I felt the need to prune back. Adding more characters to fill the spaces will just bring the same problem back. I don't see how or why creating more when Going Rogue is Live is going to be a good idea... :/

There's going to be more stuff to do for lowbies in the near future than stuff to do for 50's, so why not go with the flow for a while.
Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.
54 lvl 50s deleted to date, ive only regretted deleting 1 of them. (my em/elec brute 2nd lvl 50). Deleting 50s is almost more of a hobby of mine than getting to 50 :P
...I've created so many Level 50 characters that I simply can't keep up with them all.
Sad to say, I decided on purging two of my characters: one 50, Wynterwylde (Ice/Mace Tanker) and one 41 Cut to the Quick (Dual Blade Scrapper). Cut had to go because I never got into Dual Blades and hadn't played him for some time.
I've still got a slew of other characters, half of whom I just log in anymore to A) keep their SG status active and B) move them from Day Job to Day Job. I'm thinking of purging more, but the ones I've got left I *do* enjoy playing... and the first five I had - Witty, Blue Volt, Greystone Aegis, Vectura, I'Exile - I'm keeping always.
I've never been one to run a character to 50 and then delete or re-roll him. Today's been kinda traumatic for me...
