Its super annoying , I just re subscribed and I want to create a new character. My store slots in the character creation screen are not available so I have been doing nothing for 2 days waiting. I should get my money back for this......

Edit:

Is there an annoncement anywhere on the forum for this? I looked through every heading and did not see one. Its been since Yesterday morning so you think they would have posted something.

It was in the MOTD upon game log on. You can view it again with /gmotd. It doesn't say exactly when it is going to be back though, unfortunately. I'm waiting to get into my account also.

Well yesterday, I couldn't create any new characters in my purchased/vet slots.

Today those slots are available. So they're definitely doing SOMETHING.*

I'm just glad I decided to renew a few days early in case the shop downtime extended. (I'm sure the announcement said it would be back today, IE down Thursday, back today.)

By any chance are those having troubles based in Europe, as I am? I had an issue reaching secure.ncsoft, it's fixable by altering which DNS you're using; Google's free ones at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 should do the trick. Alternatively, you can just wait for whatever change NCSoft made to propagate to your ISP's, not sure how long that will take though.

Hope this resolves the issue for others.

The Vet/Purchased/Freebie slots are linked to the in-game store. When that server goes down, any opened and unused slot beyond the 12th becomes locked, because the client can't verify the unlocked status of said slot.

The good news is that when the in-game store server comes back online, you get your slots unlocked. It's extra good when you consider that more often that not, when this happens on the Training Room, you have to delete characters until you have 11 or less, and then re-"purchase"* all of your slots.

* Fortunatly, the Training Room's in-game store isn't connected to your Master Account, so you can buy all that stuff willy nilly for free. Except for Going Rogue. That one WILL charge you.

I can't resolve the site either. I am using 4.2.2.1 and 8.8.8.8 as the nameservers. I had no problem re-upping the other day, so I was hesitant to assume it was a DNS issue, but I had to try. No luck so far.

Yep. Down for me. Has been all day Friday now. I would assume they're still working on something. I've sent messages and all I've gotten so far are the standard links to problems from the NC Soft Technical FAQ doohicky.
