A request (Warning: Has a few pictures)

Hello, I got a request for anyone wishing to rise to the challenge.

I'd like to make a hero that looks something like this:


However, due to me being new to the game and seeming to have poor ability in costume designing, I have been unable to accomplish something that looks even close to this. I was wondering if someone with better talent with the hero designer than I do can make a hero that looks like this guy and add a screenshot and list of what you used in a post here so I can finally make a hero that resembles a Kamen Rider.

You'll likely want to get the Cyborg Booster Pack as it will give you even more Tech options for your costumes.

For costume help, head down to the Screenshots & Fan Creations forums, there is actually 'The Costume (Re-)Design Thread' with many helpful people.

You won't be able to reproduce those costumes exactly, nor should you (as it's petitionable.) But you can do something similar. Here's one of the costumes of my favourite Scrapper.

I think you could make the first one fairly easily, although to warn you it won't be exact. I know the head is EASILY doable with the current costume system (or at least it used to be) not so sure about the others.

And for the weapon you'll have to compromise for a rapier methinks

I don't mind having to get the cyborg pack nor do I mind compromising.

I didn't know people actually liked Kamen Rider

Agreed, so Science and Natural huh? Hmmmm...of course I'll need to change the color scheme.

Can any of you tell me what powersets he's using?

To clarify, the goggles are from the Science pack. I couldn't think of any other really 'big' bug goggle type headgear off the top of my head, but as the whole grasshopper theme is important to the costume design as a whole, I felt it needed big red bug eye goggles. The 'regular' bug eyes (which actually come with proper antennae as an option) seemed too small and didn't work well with a helmet, coming off as 'actual' eyes. I found the goggles to be the most important part of the costume that I could not substitute for anything not available in a booster.

The Natural/Martial Arts booster provided the sword, the gloves, and the boots. You might be able to substitute these for something else, though; black-tinted leather Warrior boots/gloves simply gave off the most 'basic' light-armored feel I could find. Also you did not specify whether you actually intend to go for broadsword, martial arts, or something completely different, and even if you go BS you might feel like picking one with a different design. I just picked the closest one to the one in the screenshot (thin straight blade) I could find, the Chinese Jian in the same booster.

The various goggles and gasmasks in the Science booster have served me well several times in the construction of various do-it-yourself helmets.


[EDIT]: Powersets from that video are Martial Arts/Regeneration/Body Mastery, with both Super Speed and Flight as travel pools.

I completely forgot about the Science pack, it definitely has a better selection for the face and head with regards to what you are looking for.

We need to get Vangelus in here--he's been rocking it with Shinsektor since '04. The VV link is probably old, but smexy never goes out of style.

That would be a cool travel power set.

Basically, Kamen Rider Proto is a prototype Rider System developed by Horizon Technologies using plans stolen from SmartBrain and ZECT. He is purely a fan-made Kamen Rider based off of the Kamen Rider series from Japan.
