Dumb question, but wondering.. can we shut off aura effects?

Don't apologize, lol. This is the Player Questions section, you can ask anything and everything you want here. I think he was just suggesting that you ask in the Scrapper section as well, since it's possible that the folks that frequent there will know the answer but may not see it in this section.

Guardian has a very friendly bunch, many of whom have an unnatural fondness for cookies and bacon. Most of us are on 8-11 EST, but there are a fair number who are on for the west coasters, too. If you want to, go on down to the Guardian board, say hello and when you'll be on, and you'll get the chance to meet a few folks.

If you want lots of not-necessarily-as-friendly folks, Freedom and Virtue are the most populated servers. Virtue seems to have picked up lately, and is very Role-play friendly.

LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

Don't give up on Victory until you've joined the global channels "Victory Forum" and "Victory Badges". A lot of the action on the server has migrated over to the global channels in the last few years. It's no Freedom, but it's not a ghost town either. You just have to know where to look for the action.

Oh, and welcome back.

It is worth mentioning, you cannot suppress Pool Power effects still. My MA/SR still has a slight glow due to Combat Jumping

I don't have that one yet and honestly, I can't remember what I had planned out for him. I need to find a decent MA/SR guide, I guess.

This is very true. I rarely play on any server but Victory, and even when my friends list is completely grey I have no trouble finding teams. As long as you search a bit for players you should find plenty.

Here is another option...

/suppressCloseFx 1 <--- This turns on disabling of personal graphics effects if your camera is within a certain distance of your character.

/suppressCloseFxDist 300 <--- This sets that certain distance. BAB recommended 300 ft. If you don't ever want to see your GFX, then set it to zero.

I set my Dist to 20, that way 3 clicks out on Zoom and I can see my auras/shields.

Founder's Falls. Though there's also one now in Pocket D, if you have access, and you can go to the IP and Steel tailors at any level too.

None of the tailors have any level requirement at all, so you can go to any of them. Your last costume mission is coming up at 40, but until then there's no reason to favour any tailor over another aside from proximity to you.

I honestly would reccomend Justice. Join the global channel Justice United once you make a toon there (if you do), and I doubt you'll ever look back. Teams and TF's run almost constantly. I've been on TF's at 8am in the morning and as late as midnight. Justice ship raids a couple of times a week, and hami raids several times a week. Used to do 2 a day, actually. The midnight raids were always a blast!

Many great players on that server and I have only run into a handful of jerks in the last few years. Freedom may have the most people, but that doesn't make it the best server. More people = more jerks. I have never had a good experience over on Freedom. =/
