I will give you a word of warning for this server. There is at least one SG that managed to irk a lot of people because their leader is exceptionally heavy handed with his rules and treats the SG like a business. I will not reveal the SG, but everyone was happy when they abandoned all of their members here to go play somewhere else, and I doubt anyone who remembers them will be happy to know they have come back. When you get a random invitation to a SG, be SURE you know who their leader is and if they are known for being exceptionally harsh for a group inside of a game.

The point about good RP groups not being open to strangers in the D. Well if they're in a public place they may expect some sort of interruption, but look at the environment as if it were real life. The game's social paradigm is a hyper active modern life. The D is a bar, how would you act in bar or restaurant, would you (Or your character) randomly insert your self into a people at the next table conversation? Answer might be yes, but they might ignore you, or you know tell you to xxxx off. People go to a bar to relax, drink, dance, blow off steam, party with friends and try to get laid; so what goes on at the D is actually pretty accurate.
What I wish is more people would carry the D experience out to the active game world (as opposed in internal SG channels or bases) React to the world around you not as you would (thought at the early stages of RP why not) but as your character would. More open expression in local would be welcome. Seems to me some want too, a lot of people stop and appear to stare at you for a second, but then seem to move on, almost as if they were afraid to act for fear of not being cool. It's damn RPG, ff you see a cool event in game and your character is the type who would say something....SAY SOMETHING. Or ever just emote it, hell even if it's "Whoa, hot costume". The other players may or may not pick up on it, may or may not act on it, but hey nothing ventured nothing gained.

Definitely agreed, but this particular one will blacklist you if you say the wrong thing and encourage members not to team with you, so it really is better not to get involved with them in the first place, and then at least you can still team with the members who are NOT so opinionated.
I'm sure I'm not alone. So, that's why you sometimes see scenarios like that. Sometimes it's because people are afraid of approaching a stranger; othertimes may be because the person is just not wanting to RP at that particular instant.
I also agree. An' I just gotta say something. Did a arguement almost start about whose made up, FICTIONAL character interactions are better? I'm just asking..cause ..ya know.. I want to be sure I'm not back in kindergarten. Anyway..speaking of the D, alot of people talk down about the D like its te plague, but as a earlier poster mentioned.. it IS a bar/nightclub. People don't usually go to these places to carry out a devious plot or try n save the world. So if THATS what your looking for, you should probably look somewhere else. The RP in the D is about 70% people just hanging out and RP'ing about random BS, 10% OOC chatter in broadcast, 10% people being OOC and just watching the show n waiting for a good laugh, and 5% people looking for ERP.
Just my opinion.
What about the last 5%?
Nobody seems to know the secret of the last 5%. Perhaps they're in a corner watching the ERP'ers?
