The return of ITF lag

Developers.. Positron. War Witch. BAB. Castle. Someone that's a redname please take note of this?
After i17 came down the pipe, the lag in the last two missions in the ITF disappeared. I was ecstatic. A lot of people were. It was -fun- to do that particular TF/SF again. However, with this latest patch, said lag has returned. In spades.

I'm not sure what returned it, but...possibly look into changing -just that- back? Please?

, and for me the lag never left, not JUST after issue 17 the patches there after nor before. Always lag in those special places we've always had.

This, for me, though I'm not playing on the most optimum computer these days.

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.

lag. Buckets of the stuff on the ITF I did tonight on Defiant. it's always been hugely bad on the Eu servers, worse than any other game I've ever played. We're talking 2-3 seconds before some powers will show anything on screen, frequent pauses for powers to fire or for critters to react to powers. It's horrible. When it comes to killing the generals everyone just stays on the lower bridge and a tank/hardy scrapper just taunts the generals down to the bridge because of the lag and then we just skip to the Phalanx. it's the same for everyone playing so isn't computer based. Was on Skype conference with 5 others doing the ITF and they all talked about it, everyone got mapserver briefly a few times at the exact same point.
Will someone please do something about this?? It's shockingly bad, especially on EU, but then you guys probably couldn't give a rats *** about the EU experience.

The lag was bad enough to briefly disconnect at least one member of the ITF I was on yesterday and wreaked havoc on everyone else's connections as well! I'd love to see this fixed, it would be great to have one less frustration on a TF that I've already farmed to death.

You were doing just fine till you got to the last part, which I bolded. Adding comments like that won't make things better any faster. Besides, it's not like they don't hear that ten times a day...much like "Devs hate Villians."

Let the guy vent some. I would hope they are aware of the lag. I know I bugged it but the canned email didn't leave me with much impresssion that they are aware. It came across more like a pyscho therapist. Tell me how the lag made you feel.. Could you describe the lag.... was the sun up in the sky when it happened...

Then again it is not like a red name has come on the boards and posted stating they were aware.

I'll clarify the original post some. Post i-17, -several times-, myself and friends ran ITF's. The general gist of things in team chat when we came to lag hill and found....we were able to -walk up- the hill, fighting all the way....WITHOUT LAG....was nothing less than ecstatic.

Current date is 7-7-10, and the most recent patch that came down the tube has restored the lag in the ITF. And yes, the lag I am referring to is power icons recharging faster than the actual powers themselves, and enemies which are hundreds of feet away -suddenly- hopping to right next to you and dealing damage, which suggests to me(and several others) that it's server lag on their side. No other mission or task force has this kind of lag. For anyone that I've talked to. At all. And I do know quite a few players. Plus being a member of several global channels and having this discussion live with people leads us all to believe it's something that was changed in that last patch that put it back to the way it was pre-patch.

The reasoning behind this thread isn't to flamewar. It's not to mindlessly gripe about it. It's utilizing the medium provided in all ways to help let the ones that can fix it know about it.

Yes, I and those I've discussed this with know about bug reporting. We've used that too.
It's about making use of all the tools available to make the game a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Because I'm fairly certain(although I could be wrong and freely admit so), not everyone enjoys the copious amount of lag that occurs in what has been found to be -only the third mission- of the Imperious Task Force/Strike Force.

If you -are- one of those people, then....by all means, enjoy the TF. ^_^
However, if you don't...and you stumble across this thread..../sign? Please?

Aware of what? The lag in the ITF? Seems like some selective memory on your part. They most certainly have posted about the lag, in depth, and discussed the probable causes.

Then maybe they should fix it sometime.

Did you notice a marked improvment in the lag with I17 like the majority of people? It wasn't until the patch last week that it caused the lag again.

That is what I am taking about. Not the mutiple causes mentioned in the past, since they appeared to have fixed it with I17 only to break it once again.

Easily enough done - just remove certain enemy groups and features. Maybe they should just make the mission more generic, have it be all Fifth Column.

Personally, no, I didn't notice a marked improvement. However, I wasn't running it several times a week (or day) like a lot of people so I'm not really in a position to detect anything but huge changes. I didn't notice any huge change between pre-17 and post-17.

Not only is lag worse on the ITF, it takes longer to load into some missions and this affects the whole team when it does happen.

There seems to be a few gremlins running about.

I used to just hit lag on the hill and on the rooftops at the very end of the ITF. Now I hit it on the hill, at the computer and on the rooftops and sometimes even at Rom.
