Well you're on the EU servers. Nobody plays there, duh!

When you have 32 people, that's 7.5 spaces for each.
When you have 64 people, that's 3.75 spaces for each.
When you have 100 people, that's 2.4 spaces for each.

and you can say that with more people you can get more storage quickly but that's useless if you're allowing everyone to access it and if you are...then you are not actually gaining storage space over all.
But that's assuming every person is both adding to and taking things out of those bins. Even when everyone has access (which isn't always the case), that doesn't mean they use the access. Malicious Multiplicity has an Inspiration bin for each insp type, generally large inspirations only. I've contributed on multiple occasions, but I've never felt the need to use them. RO also has an IO Donation Center and, well... the name kinda explains it all.

I'm going to be frank and, honestly, probably rude. But assuming you act the same way in-game as you do on the forums, it may not be your sleep schedule that turns people away from your SG.

It's definitely my sleep schedule as with my sleep schedule a lot of times what happens is after I have someone join I never run into them again, or as one of us is logging on the other is logging off.

As far as YOU not liking me or the way I "act" that is on you and any further comment would lead to inappropriateness and thread jacking as well as thread moding so let's not. Keep it to the neg rep comments I'm sure you have given before.

I joined a "top" VG once a couple years ago. Top meaning, of course, n00b churning and a vast prestige bank.

The stated rules were: Earn x amount of prestige per month without fail on every character, log in once a week without fail on all toons, wear VG costume as much as possible, and a few other minor rules.

The unwritten rules were: You'll never get into the old school clique, we'll turn you down if you are x build for our weekly LRSF as it's not optimal, we might give you some SO's if you need but we'll then critique your build, ask how much inf you have, and other annoyances. I lasted until the LRSF denial and went blueside and started my own.

My SG rules are:

1: Don't be a tard.

Masterminds annoy everybody, sooner or later. Heck, Masterminds annoy themselves.

Okay, every SG I'm in I've either founded or joined to be with friends.

My main on Protector is a positively HUGE SG (composed mostly of me and my alts).

My Protector VG isn't as huge, but it's got everything one needs in the game.

My SG on Freedom went unused for a while and actually rolled over to one of my friends in the group. As I still have access and base edits with it, I'm happy to leave the group as is.

My other SG on Freedom is the Marketing SG (of which I'm the primary base editor).

My primary VG on Freedom is a bunch of Protector expats. My secondary VG on Freedom is the overflow from the first.
My tertiary VG on Freedom is the Marketing VG. I don't actually play the toon I have in there a whole bunch (Hi! I'm Hyperstrike. And I'm a terminal Altaholic!)

My primary SG on Virtue is one I started up for friends.
My VG on Virtue is just me and doesn't get a bunch of play.

In a friend's VG on Guardian.

In a friends SG on Champion.

Have one toon in an SG on Justice. Was mainly as a lark for a "mime" invasion.

Have one on Triumph essentially for another "Holiday" invasion.

None of them are "top free prestige" SGs.

The very concept is stupid to the point of mandatory trepanation.

And every time I've joined one, it's either completely dead or it's the same scenario as above. I hear you. The ones that weren't like that had weekly team nights, or weekly SG meetings, or weekly RP nights, or one of half a dozen other X-nights that I usually had no room for in my schedule and little interest in blocking off for a single character.

I've been playing the game since before i1, and the last time I really had any strong involvement with a SG was back around CoV's launch. Ever since then, I've been going it alone and haven't really missed anything. Being an altoholic is what sealed it for me... in addition to the problems with SGs themselves, when I'm alternating between six different characters within a week, with most of my characters going months between plays, having any meaningful presence in a group is a bit difficult. If I could commit to one or two characters, I might just keep trying until they're in a good SG with my friends. But when most of my characters go into long-term hibernation after level 50, it seems kind of pointless.

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

My wife and I have 2 SG,s on Defiant as that is the main server we play on ,why 2 you ask simple, she wanted one that she was boss of lol. Both bases have storage for salvage and enhancements plus TP to most places,we will never be in the top lists as we are only interested in having what we need and as they have everything we need prestige will build up,T will expand the base only if we decide we want something else in it,as has been pointed out in this thread being in the top ten give no indication as to how good the SG is.Keep it small and friendly is best

Being part of one of the 'Top SGs' on Triumph, (Fusion Force) we don't farm prestige.
We have a fun and active group, and the prestige just keeps coming in because of the TFs mission teams and the like we get going.

The leader was even interviewed recently:
http://www.massively.com/2010/04/28/...ity-of-heroes/

This is, I admit, unusual for groups high up in the rankings in the game as a whole, but is actually pretty normal for Triumph. A good number of our top 20 are 5-6 year old groups, who just play the game and have fun.
I think Triumph is broken.

So often we are low on the server load so we bubble towards the top yet any time I login there are plenty of people around doing things. Granted it isn't the Grand Central Station and Times Square that Freedom and Virtue are but you can still always find plenty of us roaming around.

total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
