Ninja dismissal bug

Pulled out my ninja mastermind tonight and played a bit. Went to log out and dismissed my Genin. They spoke their usual lines, "Back to the shadows" or some such, but then they fell down in a boneless heap, just like zombies do. o.O I don't recall seeing that bug before. Guess I should log onto my 'bot mastermind just to see...

Had the same dismissal bug with my mercenaries; they died rather than saluting and running off.

Tested my bots, and they rocketed skyward as usual. Switched to zombies, and the zombies and grave knights were fine, but the Lich used to do an evil cackle and fade out when dismissed. Now he dies just like the zombies.

Are you actually dismissing them, or are you /releasepets? /releasepets has always forced the "death" animation on them as they despawned. /dismiss (or clicking "dismiss pets" on the pet window or by right-clicking the pet themselves) is supposed to have a special despawn animation for most pets.

I got the same results with the Ninjas, and I made sure to use the "dismiss" command, both individually and for the entire group.

Of course, they are ninjas, so they may have collapsed because of a sudden strong breeze, too

Maybe they were so sneaky and fast, it looked like they collapse WHEN IN FACT they swapped their bodies for wooden puppets and ran off into the shadows waiting for you to summon them again.

ROFL good point! But it doesn't explain my dead mercenaries.

Same thing here, pressed my Dismiss macro that always worked in the past and they died instead of running off.

Then again, after the thrashing they got from Nemesis, collapsing in shame and/or exhaustion would have been appropriate.

Thugs are dismissing like zombies as well. Demons dismiss correctly, but they're spawning stacked again (still?)

I had a similar issue with thugs.

Ran into two other bugs recently of note as well.

When I leveled on the thugs it automatically dismissed all of my minions, in the middle of a fight! Nice bug!

The other bug I encountered recently was a little bizarre. I had been fighting a rikti raid and had all damaged minions or dead ones and dismissed the whole group, which appeared to worked fine. I accepted an assemble team teleport from my team to our mission door and the minions appeared with me but not in my pet window. When I entered the mission door they were there in my pet window. Weird.

I always use dismiss from the pet window menu, simply because I never remember the slash command.
