Advice needed for a redside duo

Me and my friend would like to fresh restart with this duo on redside.
What we are seeking for:
- Reasonable speed in exp gaining, not going to speedexp everything, just reasonable
- Possibility to duo some AVs/Heroes
- Good chunck of debuff and aoe stuff
- NOT a buffbot (not a duo brute/kin corr or brute/pain corr)
- possibly two squishies (no brutes, at least)

We came up with a few options, but would like to add some ideas on top:

- soldier+widow (to be crab+fortunata)
- 2 corrs: actually the most yummi one, here's plenty of options, need suggestions for good survivability and reliable dmg.
- corr+dom: another good one, been thinking about rad/rad for corr and earth/fiery for dom.
- 2 mms: anything but not /dark, we have plenty.

Crab and Fort is ridiculously good. I've been on several 3 or 4 man teams recently with a Crab and we *make each other pretty much unkillable. Nice thing is also that you can both use Dual Builds and switch between being Forts or Night Widows and Crabs or Banes/Huntsman depending on how you feel at the time.


Thugs/Traps and Thugs/Pain would also be an excellent pairing.


Your choice of Corrupter & Domi would be really good as well.

Two /Traps corruptors with maneuvers. 40% def, and a bit of status protection without IO's.

Fire for most damage.

Duo's I've found so far:

Mastermind/dominator:
Pets live longer with the control from dominators, the dominators get a pass from flack as the pets grab aggro. The mastermind can soften targets and/or mitigate damage that does get through controls. A very safe combo, with damage from both sides.

Mastermind/mastermind:
This comes more to secondary chemistry than you'd think. a traps+forcefield is unstoppable as a pair, in my experience.

Corruptor/corruptor:
This really gets legs if there's a way to keep both safe from mez. /Sonic paired with/dark with sonic blasts 'tis fun: great resists to ALL damage, a mez protection bubble, many debuffs, and good healing. Dual pains works nicely if given time to mature.

Brute/corruptor:
This is tried and true, an easy/crazy frenzied combo. Brute plays diva, getting all the attention, corruptor does what they can to keep the brute alive and enemies weak. Corruptor often have better AoE than brutes, so the brut can break down hard targets while the corruptor destroys the rest.

Crab/Bane:
The reverse of the brute/corruptor duo, the crab grabs aggro, kills the mobs, while the bane kills/softens hard targets. Both are tough with excellent damage. Stack up manuevers/assaults, then go to town.
