Blueside Hami Raid, Anybody?
Hi!
I've not done a raid in quite some time and would love to help get this together in any way I can. I live on the west coast and have a crazy schedule so I may not be able to attend but I'd be more than happy to help get the word out.
Magus Prime- lev 50 kin/ elec defender
Meta-Human- lev 50 fire/ ss tank
Cabal Bravo- lev 50 merc/ ff master mind
Schwarzchild- lev 50 grav/ ff controller
Shanghai Storm- lev 50 ma/invinc scrapper
Nicodemus- lev 50 db/ regen scrapper
Dragonhyde- lev 50 wp/ sm tank
On The Pinnochle server!
I have a few more notes: I will request that all raiders change one costume slot into a hamikini for the raid, which is an extremely low detail costume. With a large amount of raiders, lag will be intense on slower comps (like mine). Everyone wearing basic, low detail costumes will lighten that. Also, I realize that if a majority of raiders are heavily set-bonused, it will probobly NOT take 40-50 people like it says on wiki. But I figure the more people who get to join, the better
Now, I hope to do this raid within the next few weekends, between the hours of 5 and 10 PM EDT. |

We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
Here is our strategy on Champion, if it can help.
1 tank (preferably a WP for high HP and regen) taunt Hami while all the Empathy def/troller in the zone keep AB on him to boost his regen. (these emps' can be part of other team but when AB is up they have to use it on that tank alone). This is the main hami taunt.
6 tank taunt the yellow mitos with 2 healers (emp, therm..etc) running around to help them when needed. (Yellow taunt team) They don't leave their post. even when all mitos are down and raiders are attacking Hami (you'll see why after). they only leave after the 3rd wave for the final hit.
The rest are split in 3 teams: Yellow spike team (Scrapper), Blue team (range damage dealers), green team (trollers) (numbers can vary but a good amount of each is needed)
The scrappers go around killing the yellow mitos while the blue team follows them hitting the blue mitos (don't have to kill them just hurt them so the heals is not on the yellow). At the same time the green team (trollers) start holding the green mitos and if they kill one they pass on to the next. Once every mitos is down everyone group up together to attack Hami except for the yellow taunt team.
Now this is where the strategy really differs. We don't exist after each bloom..
Each raiders need at least 3 EoE. When Hami gets close to a bloom everyone pops 1 EoE, buffers use all AoE buffs and everyone returns to their primary job. This cuts down the raid time a lot.
The major issue is that the lone tanker needs to have at least 4 AB at all time to survive. 1 emp can be dedicated to patch up with heals and call for AB when needed.
I hope this can help you.
Good luck
I lead Hamidon raids on the Guardian server blueside every Wednesday night, and the strat is posted and stickied at the top of the forums for that server. We usually take him down in 30-40 minutes (from initial entry to reward) depending on the exact make-up of the teams and how well people follow instructions--and that includes exiting after each bloom to reset (which you may have to do if the majority of the folks are not used to raiding Hami).
Rather than re-inventing the wheel, why not use one that has been proven to work consistently--whether the one we use or one from another server?

You need
8 tanks and 3 emps for theNucleus Aggro team. 1 tank on hami and 1 back with 2 emps on the hami tank. Tank 2 does not taunt unless tank one asks for help. Tank 2 then takes over. 6 other tanks agro the yellow mito's. 1 mito each. the 3rd emp keeps them CMed.
6 scrappers and 2 emp/sonic/storm for the Yellow Spike Teams. the buffers stack CM on rthe scrapperwhile they fly (get a raptor pack) around and spike the yellows. This can be one moving unit or two teams of 3 scrappers and a buffer each moving in opposite directions around hami.
You need a ranged team of blasters and defenders group targeting the blues through a single caller.
A hold team for the greens is also helpful and can call targets for the ranged team ones blues are down.
To survive in the goo stack as many RA's as you can on the melee teams. Squishies form a heal/buff umbrella on the opposite side of hami from the agro team. Warn the agro team before you rotate around to them so they can move out of you way.
Group Hug at 60 second
single target buffs on everyone esp the melee from 60-30 sec marks
30 second mark cast RA's and AM
20 Agro team goes in
10 scrapper teams go in
0- everyone else into the goo.
Yellow Dawn every 25% each team send a porter out of LOS to haul back the dead. Laugh at noobs who didn't listen and died in the goo and try and rez with a wakie.
Get your main team leads on vent with the raid leader and keep trying till you get it right.
Option 2. get 2 teams of fire/rads and 2 fire/mps and just go kill him. PS: Group fly & TP help.

The Biological Mutagens temp power from Warburg is very useful for Hami raids. Some people fear the PvP zones, but this is Pinnacle and anybody in Warburg is certainly there either for the nukes or to farm PvP IOs.
Here's why the nuke is handy and should be encouraged for Hami raids, especially red side.
1. Damage buff of 150% for 5 minutes. That's equivalent to 6 small reds refreshed 5 times each for every player in the zone, up to 50 players. 1 bio nuke is equivalent to 1500 small red insps. (6x5x50=1500)
2. Regen buff, also 5 minutes. Doesn't a defender/controller RA last 90 seconds? Scrappers and stalkers can give a similar buff for 5 minutes. It's weaker, but lasts 5 minutes! And available to anyone.
Good luck and have fun.

I'm all for a Hami Raid, i'll keep eyes out on Pinnbadges an such for more info.
Pinnacle & Virtue:
A bunch of Heroes - Alpha Team, Legion of Order.
A bunch of Villains -Black Citadel , Pinnache.
Pinnacle was the first server to bring down Hami on redside. Years later, someone from Guardian led their 2nd raid. If it wasn't for Wulfman and the Twilight Avengers, villains here would be like a kid that lost their virginity at 13 and never had sex again. They'd still brag about being 13.
I like the 'no exit' strategy from ElectroHawk above, but people here need to practice the basics first. The raid will likely have many first-timers.

Though I've never shied from PvP in the zones when it came my way, it just hasn't really appealed to me and I'm pretty bad about making repeat commitments to play video games. I'd be a bad teammate and crappy opponent. Enjoy though. Looks like people are having fun.

I have been playing this game for a long time (I just recently recieved my 57 month veteran badge), and have accomplished about all there is to do PVE wise Blueside. All except killing Hamidon, that is. I think its about time I changed that. I've been listening to chatter for a while, and have heard very little about hami raids on pinn. So I'm forming my own. I will say again: I HAVE NOT DONE A HAMI RAID. I have, however, done a fair share of research, have a good understanding the strategy, and I have pretty awesome skills (not as arrogant as it sounds). I realize that reading about it isnt the same as personal experience, and so I will not hold the possision of raid leader if a more player wishes to lead. I have a leader in mind now, but theyre schedule is uncertain, and I will need a backup. While I don't plan to be a raid leader, I WILL be leading one scrapper team. My scrapper hits like a train, and he is by far my best toon. Now, I hope to do this raid within the next few weekends, between the hours of 5 and 10 PM EDT. Now, here is what I would prefer as far as participating toons:
About 4-6 tanks, preferably stone, but I dont care as long as you can take a damned good hit. These would join a team with 2-4 healers to keep them alive, forming the Nucleus Aggro team.
about 12 scrappers and an additional 4 buffers (preferably Hp, regen, disorient prot., and heals) to split into 2 teams (6 scrapper, 2 buffer) to down the yellows. I also ask that all these players have a fly power, temp or otherwise, to stay near to eachother and the targets. These are the Yellow Spike Teams.
This Team didn't seem to be listed in the Paragon Wiki articles I read, but I would also love a team or two similar to the Yellow Spike Teams consisting of buffers and blasters instead of buffers and scrappers. These are the Blue Spike Teams.
I have another team in mind, consisting of 4-6 buffers with fast recharging rezzes, and recall friend. These are the Medic Teams. Because hosping results in a long absence from the raid and the risk of a leech taking your open spot in the zone, these teams will keep people on their feet. If someone dies, drop from your team, send a broadcast asking for a medic, they will invite to team, recall, rez, and send you back in the fight to rejoin your team.
Lastly, all other raiders will divide into Assault Teams, usually with a mix of buffers, debuffers, and damage. Each assault team needs one controller, as they will be the teams to wipe out the greens, and provide additional damage for the nucleus.
In addition, at least 2 people per team need the Assemble the team veteran power. I will explain more later. Now that you know my preferred raiders, here is my strategy:
1: Yellow Phase:
During this phase, the Yellow Spike Teams will begin wiping out Mito Antibodies (yellows) one by one, and escaping the cytoplasm if danger sets in. During this time, the Nucleus Aggro Team will keep the nucleus busy, and other raiders will keep the mending mito's (greens) busy. Once all Antibodies are dead, we move on to...
2: Blue Phase:
During this phase, the Blue Spike Teams will move from Mito Electrolyte (blues) to Electrolyte, eventually wiping them all in a single sweep. Again, the Nucleus Aggro Team holds the nucleus's attention, while other raiders distract the greens. Once all blues are dead, we go to...
3: Green Phase:
At this point, all raiders (save the aggro team and medics) focus on the greens. If All focus on one, and trollers keep them held, they will be wiped fairly fast. Now that all of the Mito's are dead, go to..
4: Nucleus Phase:
Here's the fun part. Once all the mitos are dead, everybody charges the nucleus. With all raiders focusing on this target, we will have sufficient damage to beat his regen. When he nears the 75% HP mark, one person per team (with assemble the team) evecuates the cytoplasm. As soon as hami hits 75% HP, 6 of each of the mitos will spawn yet again. This is called a bloom. The second this happens, the person who evacuated will pop ATT and get everyone out to avoid a full raid wipe. After the bloom, the first 3 steps are repeated, and once the bloom is cleared, return to the nucleus. Blooms occur 3 time, when the nucleus is at 75%, 50%, and 25% Hp. after the 3rd bloom, we all just pound the hell out of the Nucleus 'til it drops.
I realize its not a perfect strategy, and I would appreciate if anyone would post some tips.
