Maybe you should mind you own damn business. Those of us who are here have done those dev arcs a billion times already and honestly for many of them the writing and gameplay SUCK, especially many of the pre-issue 6 heroside arcs.

Added: All in the Family (#128109) V25-30
A Family capo hires you for a series of contract killings, which soon become personal.

Source: Dr. Aeon's Dev Choice Suggestion Thread

This was a very well-written arc that did a good job of portraying a "player choice" for the ending.

I updated the list of arcs in the tree I've reviewed, with links.

I'm going to take your last sentence in the spirit in which i hope it was meant. I've been playing for 6 years and I don't yet think the Canon content is stale, I've recently been playing through the 'new' Issue 17 arcs, and they're good. However, as an MA writer and avid player of MArcs, I do recommend you play some of the arcs in PW's list here. Think of it as supplemental or alternative to the Dev-created stuff.

I'm sure all the MA authors who post regularly in this forum have their favourite Dev arcs as well as AE ones. I certainly do.

The arcs on this list that I've played have been really stellar, give them a go and you might be pleasantly surprised. The dev content will still be there, after all.

Eco.

MArcs:

The Echo, Arc ID 1688 (5mish, easy, drama)
The Audition, Arc ID 221240 (6 mish, complex mech, comedy)
Storming Citadel, Arc ID 379488 (lowbie, 1mish, 10-min timed)

I am really enjoying this selection PW. Thank you for organizing them into level ranges.

In fact, I've rolled several new characters because I'm having so much fun with the level 1-20 game again.

I'm filing this under 'things I never thought I'd hear from a vet'.

My only sadness is that the 54 months of vet badges prevents me from having one of them be a complete AE baby with only AE badges.

I ended up having to play through it twice. I may have done some bad, bad things on my first play through.... The situation got a little out of control, and things went a little too far. Could've happened to anyone!

Added: A Penny For Your Thoughts (#348691) H20-20
Penelope Yin asks you to save the life of her friend: the Clockwork King. Surreal.

Some other minor tweaks:
* Upon review, I decided to reclassify The Butterfly Effect and its sequel The Return of the Lizard People as Villainous, rather than Heroic Science; partly based on Dr. Aeon being the contact, partly based on the presentation of the initial briefing (roughly "Hey, let's mess with the entire timeline of another dimension just to see what would happen").
* Re-did several contact snapshots. In particular changed all villain contacts to use the red background used on villain side, and updated the contact to be the contact of the arc with lowest arc ID in each category (which had changed for some categories).

Okay, I'll play these the next time I start a new alt. Page bookmarked.. I only wish there was a resource in the game's actual SEARCH ENGINE like this.

But the fail of the search engine has been discussed before, so I won't clog your thread with my thoughts on that.

Blazara Aura LVL 50 Fire/Psi Dom (with 125% recharge)
Flameboxer Aura LVL 50 SS/Fire Brute
Ice 'Em Aura LVL 50 Ice Tank
Darq Widow Fortune LVL 50 Fortunata (200% rech/Night Widow 192.5% rech)--thanks issue 19!

Wow, that stinks. Sorry to hear it. I guess I better re-run my arcs to make sure nothing got broken, too.

Removed from list (all unpublished):

This change wasn't in the latest patch, I just had forgot about it. I was reminded when I loaded up some arcs to put back AVs that I had pulled out before, and discovered that my awesome betrayal-triggered dialogues also caused my non-combat allies to become aggressive, able to attack and be attacked. Very irritating, and there was no way to fix it to my satisfaction.

I was going through the Villain 1-10 section on my new Stalker and noticed an was arc missing: "Unfair Trade" (ID 373846, L5-10). I know you've played it before, PW.

Seems a smidge hasty to do a full delete as opposed to bugging the situation. At the same time, this is why we need some actual scripting options as opposed to trying to jury rig everything since a small change in the background can cause it to all come crashing down like a house of cards.

I didn't send in a bug report about it because I believe that the old behaviour was the bug. I did save the arcs and if I can get them to work the way I want later on I'll republish.
