Can DE kill you in Hibernation?

I believe DoT damage that has already been applied to u will still be in effect while in Hiber. Since it has to animate b4 the regen boost can be applied to u, you must have clicked it jsut a second to late

It's the same deal if you've ever smacked a Fake Nemesis with Gloom or another DoT right before they raise their untouchable shield. The DoT will tick away as it was applied before you effectively became untouchable.

That will teach you to play wrong! Should have been sitting back healing people with O2 like a good support toon.
In addition to DoTs, Hibernate (and other phase powers) fall victim to hit rolls - if a hit roll is made on your character and you hit Hibernate, the damage will arrive even when you're Hibernated.

It's just like hitting Dull Pain right as you die... it takes a second for it to take effect. You either got hit a final time before it took effect or a DOT got you before the regen kicked in.
Disgusting, isn't it?

I was joining a fight in the Portal Corps courtyard against 4 or 5 DE GMs and I guess I took some aggro of the tank (snowstorm, whirlwind, LS, and freezing rain/ice slick didn't make him happy) because one of them went after my head. Well anyway, I took a hefty hit and then clicked hibernate. The animation went off, but then suddenly the encasing around my toon shattered and I died. There was a DE swarm (the flies) that attacked me before/while in hibernation as well. I was just wondering what caused my death. Does hibernation not protect you against DoT, or is there something inherently sinister in the DE's attacks that proceeded to kill me while hibernating?
