ss/elec/mu pvp build

so i have had a 50 ss/elec sitting around for a long time and decided to IO it for pvp. heres a build i came up with and looking for suggestions/improvements, im going for end drain to try and drop there toggles and smash away... its mainly just for duels cuz in zone he's no good. any pows i can drop/change?

probably because thats a very fightclub-y/pve-ish build. no meaningful -kb and no perception mean you will get tossed around for a kill and someone could just hide for the rest of the match.

dont discount yourself though, if you take taunt and web envelope you could be very useful on a zone team.

brutes are not the best pvp AT, let alone ones that cant handle much kb.

i pvpd on an em/elec but i wont give advice since i havent played it in a few issues. try the brute boards.

What solo said, web env followed by KoB are good for spiking in zone if you find a decent team, or random, semi-disorganized arena stuff.
Having psi dr is a good thing when taunting. I would probably take phase on top of that.

ok maybe i wasnt clear...I Dont want to make it for zone, its only for duels....i dont use phase shift or web grenade. i said it was a bad toon for zones. its built to drain end and and drop toggles on Duels only. if anyone knows anything about this type of pvp toon, id like suggestions on the build not how to make it for zone pvp

One thing I do know about those types of toons is that they are easy kills. Trying to end drain on a melee build means you're either going to die, or you're up against a really bad player. It's a very easy thing to stay away from a brute (especially one without web grenades) until you recover from any end drain that they might hit you with, and if you stay mobile, even getting hit with that much is very rare.

I wish you the best of luck, but what you're asking for is tantamount to saying "I want a melee only build to beat the worst players". Anyone with a working brain will know to stay out of range of any significant sapping powers you'd have.

Make it into a psi blaster or therm corr?


Seriously though, brute damage can be pretty bad. Factor in you have no real -rec to stop them from recovering end. And I am sure you are a pro and all, but duelers use phase all the time. Even on melee toons. The only people you will beat are other melees who have the dreaded fight clubitits. If thats your cup of tea you don't really need help with the build. You can beat 99% of them just by having enough brain cells functioning to count to three.


I will say the ones I have seen that do what you seem to be looking for have gw for a patron. I am going to guess its for dn to stop aid self but I am not sure.

hmmm not a great toon for dueling... competent blasters, corrs, MM, doms, regen scrappers, will beat it down. If it were SS/fire corrs, MMs, regen will beat it down, But i think your going for the dueling only other melee toons thing right? well in that case WP, Fire, Regen, and even some DA toons will beat it down. WTH?!?! what makes everyone say elec is good than? It is good. High resistance + a big heal means it can take a spike and keep going kinda like Inv. But don't let me convince you how to play to a set's advantages. If you are bent on fight clubbing with a SS/elec i'd first suggest rerolling it into a elec/SS, second get aid self and six slot it, put procs in ur attacks, use proced out jab and punch only. Oh stand under the globe in RV to get fights but don't run away when you see a large group of blasters comming at you kk GLHF

wow con, ur terribad at fight clubing (u have no fight clubytits) remember a good fight clubber like a boxer only uses jab and punch maybe a kick sometimes. If a toggle is put on u than u bust out the KoB + the Aid self. See by putting KoB in ur Fight Clubbing attack chain you will only hurt ur DPS and ur DPE lol i did the math.

No, its not a great damage dealer for zones, but I was, and I believe others were, giving you a way to make it semi-useful in zones as a team char. If you aren't interested in that, that is fine. However the concensus from what I can tell is that it won't be any better at what you are trying to purpose it into, and possibly worse.

maybe he could slot that recovery debuff proc into gloom and darkest night..? still ss/elec is not the best combo for a melee sapper. if i was building something for this specific task it'd be dm/ea or elec/ea but it would have to have been during a leveling exploit because theres no way i could ever play melee with whats out currently.
