Lots of nice new ones

Damn! I wish I could afford commissions like you can. I'm super envious.

Going gang-buster with the posting, Comrade. Keep 'em comin'!
It's a little of both... (speaking as War Bride of course)

Typically, I tend to keep an eye out for sales, specials and other deals. Tends to be a cost effective option for me as I'm based in New Zealand and deal with the currency conversion rate to US Dollars.

As such I also have to pick and choose carefully when it comes to bigger budget commissions - so I tend to save up and go through 'spurts' of commissioning and not getting anything.

My, that's some remarkable control over gravity. Prehensile.

Amazing colours, beautifully finished!

When you can control Gravity a push up bra become redundant. Up right the dino-beastie - yes that's impressive as well.

Haven't updated in a while mainly because I put my back out, am busy finishing my Diploma in Creative Writing and getting my Proposal together for Creative New Zealand contestable arts funding, and have been rolling along helping family and friends with tax returns, employment contracts, and all of life's other little stumbling blocks.

Anyways....

My heroines four by the talented Kyle Durand. The lines and colors were finished a few weeks ago, but I've only just gotten around to posting them.

The back is slowly getting better, just a typical long-lasting strain, caused during exercise of all things.

I think out of the four, Last Avatar (the third) is my favorite

So do I, unfortunately my hands aren't particularly functional for such creative output

Bear and Eagle - Comrade Hero and Graviton Girl lines by the talented Adam Withers.

...although technically both Russia and America are represented by symbolic eagles, and Comrade Hero's surname Biryukov (Бирюков) originates from the term biryuk, meaning "wolf."

Nice piece, CH! I can't wait to see it colorized! Have you chosen the colorist yet?

Not yet. I'm in the eye of the storm at the moment. In a couple of days things will be hectic again as I start scribbling away furiously again. On the upside it's a long weekend here in New Zealand. Monday is Labour Day. All power to the proleteriat!

That background is so clever, just two straight lines, but it seems to place them in an entire scene. I'm seeing them emerging from a backstreet alley or some such, great stuff. Look forward to the colour

Really good point. Took me a while to actually realize just how effective the two simple lines were. Very clever indeed.

Thanks. I'd hug you but the last guys who tried that ended up with multiple puncture wounds.

Got my Application away to Creative New Zealand last Thursday for Quick Response Arts Grants and met with an Advisor from the Maori Business Facilitation Unit. Will be applying for further assistance and funding from Government Agencies such as WorkBridge, Work and Income, and New Zealand on Air.

Anyways... Last month I commissioned Rafael Lanhellas to produce a Five Page Sampler of Sequential Pages for Funding Application Purposes/Promotion/Proposals. Received the finished pencils today.
