I really like the art by Jon Hughes so much that I had to add it to my Deviant Art favorites. Comrade Hero, I read your stories on DA and they were good, very entertaining! Awesome collection you got going on, Congrats!

Hybrid, is your character a kind of Spidey covered in web strands Stone Tanker?

Yeah his expression is great... " Is true economy is tough, dah... but bullets?"
You've got a valid point there, it does look like a multi-barrel cannon firing on Comrade Hero. Considering it looks like a ground strafing run, perhaps he's being fired upon by the GAU-8/A Avenger 30 mm Auto Cannon from an A10 Warthog... although more likely is a Nemesis War Hulk

seriously. The man has some crazy talent and another great one for Comrade.

Gratz bro! Love the choice of action for this one. Been thinking of a similar idea for TA as well though now I might rethink that lol.

I think it's about time we have another team up by the way, We have only had one and that only went to ink
I remember, and that was definitely a long whiles back. Calling a piece with veteran players "Legends" would be kind sad, although Geriatric Gogetters isn't much better either...

I watched a Batman animated film (can't remember the name) that showed exactly why Batman doesn't employ technology like shields to deflect bullets. Although the shield did a great job of keeping the bullets from hitting Batman, the drawback was the unpredictable ricochet. I think Batman inadvertently ended up seriously wounding a criminal or innocent bystander (again, can't remember which) because of it. Batman shelved the shield and went back to creating stronger anti-ballistic body armor.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Taken a while to get Parts I to III completed and now my Mentor is on Maternity Leave. So I'll keep going with Part IV and V and get the second draft tidied up by September

I thought of SANDS as more of a modern mummy looking character who wears the goggles to keep the sand out of his eyes, so the costume was functional. He is an earth/earth dominator. After I made a few updates to SANDS costume he did come out looking a bit like Spiderman, but the straps on his costume are the closest I could get to a mummy looking wrap.

Comrade Hero - I must have missed part 3. I got through parts 1 and 2. I am going to have to head off to deviant art and red part 3 now. I have a story idea of my own that I have been meaning to write, so it was very inspiring. Thanks!

I ran into the character limit on deviantART for writing text, so you'll have to download the file to read it.

I'll have to convert the file to PDF or TXT to make it smaller. Although at the moment I'm working on Part IV.

And I welcome any comments or criticism as the Comrade Hero Project is also part of my academic assessment for my Diploma in Creative Writing

Oh, and I had a great time taking out Rikti Generators with you last night.
That was by far and away the best Sewer Trial I've done. It took Comrade Hero 4-5 years but I finally got the badges thanks to that tight team on Protector. Was a lot of fun and highly challenging.

Red Son 2010.

The original Red Son piece was completed by Ryan Stegman (Incredible Hulk, Incredible Hercules, Sif) a few years back, with coloring by Kieran Oats.

I had Red Son recently recolored by Danielle Alexis to reflect a Soviet theme, commemorating the Moscow Victory Day Parade of 2010 held on 9 May 2010. Victory Day 2010 marked the 65th anniversary of the capitulation of Nazi Germany in 1945.

Funny you should mention Bucky and Superman. Comrade Hero is supposed to be a throwback (at least costume wise) to the 1930's-1940's masked mystery men. The commission itself is a direct homage to Dave Johnson's fantastic work on "Superman: Red Son #1" and draws its inspiration directly from this image:

For something completely different, here's a recent image of my scrapper, Last Avatar (created before a certain bald headed little man appeared on television) by the talented Sergey Filikov

He did such a great job on Feral Kitty that I had to get some of my female characters done. Enjoy.

Gorgeous works all, CH! You continue to have one of the finest galleries on DA. I'm always glad to see a new piece from you.

I particularly like this latest one. I love the old school pinup vibe here, which you don't see too often these days, sadly. The expression on her face says it all--playful, fun, a bit of humor. A shapely and delightful lady whose assets are shown to great effect. Very nice indeed!

Thanks. I gave Sergey some free reign on these. Can't wait to see how the remaining ladies turn out
