All your art lately has been great, I've just been too lazy to post after each one... But I'm loving this latest and can't wait to see what Nei does with it!

While there isn't really a follow button, I've been following the thread since the beginning. Spose they call that lurking.

Yeah. I love the coloring Nei has done on the Zenoscope pieces.

Ayup - and thanks for pointing that out.

And a work in progress.

Approved rough draft layout for Comrade Hero and Black Widow by the lovely Sorah Suhng.

This will take a while to complete - but will be worth it.

Great depth of texture on the Roy Guinn, and the Sorah is a great composition. Looking forward to seeing the lines and colours some day!

Thanks, looking forward to seeing what Sorah does with Black Widow and Comrade Hero as well. She's been discussing the lineart and coloring techniques with other artists atm.

And speaking of which, Jeremy Farlow has a very limited sketch sale going on right now, and I snagged a sketch of War Bride.

The sketch from Daggerpoint for example was literally - 'catch the journal before it's gone' in terms of getting a sketch, whereas the duo piece by Sorah has been a long term project as I've had to accommodate her work schedule.

is that the one from Danielleister? i love that ink work. sorry for the negative 'uninspired' comment, but i could do stuff similar in the past, now, not so much. I've tried recently but i'm no where near. I know, practice, practice, etc, but life, life, etc, wife, wife, etc, arghhhh

Anyway, loving your piece's mate, still want to see that duo

Daniel's piece is going to be colored by Nei Ruffino (single image of Comrade Hero).

Sorah's piece (Black Widow and Comrade Hero) has a ways to go, but will be inked and colored as well.

I would love to have an inkling of the talent that these artists have, but my artistic strengths lie elsewhere.

Nice additions indeed. One thing I'm curious about though:

It looks to me like the last couple or so Comrad Hero pieces you posted have him looking a bit younger and less "weathered" or "seasoned" than the image that's been built up in my mind of the character. I'm curious if this is intentional, coincidental, or just something wrong with my.mental image of the character? Perhaps it's just me perceiving a difference?

Whatever though, very nice looking pieces!

Is it bad that I find myself just going through and looking at all the pretty pictures?

Love the latest War Bride, bet then I've always been partial to sketches.
Thank you. Daggerpoint does some really great pieces, and I to snap up his sketches when he offers them.

You're absolutely right, and it's probably the one stickler I have when commissioning Comrade Hero. Even after six years, and information supplied about Comrade Hero's physical and chronological age I find artists tend to fall into two camps. Comrade Hero gets a 'slender' and 'younger' physique like Nightwing, or the 'weathered' and 'grizzled' older hero that he actually is with a physique similar to Superman.

Sometimes I mind, sometimes I don't. It depends on the finished piece.
