Question for the Virtue folk!

Okay.. I looked.. but couldnt find anything.. and to be honest.. I cannot htink of a better more knowledgable Group of Folks ont he Blue boards than the Virtuelites.. SO..


is there a Plan for... or is there a... App for CoH for the Iphone? and maybe a Mids?

I cant find squat.. and I find that hard to believe... but then again.. I think that all over MMOs are epic Fail compared to CoH


anyone know of one or plans for one?


and yes.. I am bored at work.. and ansey about them releasing Issue 17 today!! sorry...

Sure you buy me an Intel based mac (can only dev iPhone apps on a Intel Based mac) and pay my developers fee ($100/year) and I'll dev you a app for the iPhone.


... actually no, Apple sucks and their platform is a closed caged garden I don't really want to deal with. I may consider something for Android however.

I'm surprised there hasn't been something in the works. At least for Mids or similar programs to it. Smart phones don't have the system requirements yet to handle CoH yet.

Go Android. Also, Kurse, iPhones are bad for the health. They give you bad sex addictions and you'll be like Tiger Woods and sleep with nasty whores. Gotta sleep with the good ones, go Android.

See my post. Its an incredibly high up front cost to dev for the iPhone then you have to hope it gets approved by the Apple overlords.

Most of us freelance developers can't afford that upfront.

Contrasted to Android, which has no upfront costs associated and is open ^_^

I think my real question would be what exactly would people want to do on their phone? Everything I can think of would require us to have access to something like the City Vault or game data as an API, which as far as Ghost Falcon has told us, won't be happening anytime soon due to liability issues.

You can get to something like mids online now, there is a web version (obviously not as robust) http://www.cohplanner.com/

Not sure how well that works on a phone. But the easier way to do that, without needing to develop and app would be to request a mobile version of SuckerPunch's online planner.
