Questions from a new guy
Ignore him, he's an utterly foolish or senseless person.
If you right click on any tab, you can add/remove a chat type/channel called "Pets." This is a separate option from the one of the Menu. If this guy doesn't want to see pet chat, he should configure his tabs so he doesn't have to.
As for toggles... Only thing I can think of is MAYBE dark secondary mm's who's shadow fall griefs some hostie lead out attempts.

Rock, rock on Hamster.
Yeah, you should know what your toggles do, but most of them aren't going to be annoying. Main ones you usually hear about are when people cast invisibility on the whole team (without asking), which can be bad for hostage situations or for Tanks. AOE Stealth powers like Steamy Mist are usually just fine, unless you have a hostage.
Group fly can be potentially annoying if your teammates don't want to be force into flight (people usually want to be able to move about as they want), but that's rare. I don't think I've seen Group Fly on a character in... years.

I have it on my lolhami emp, as well as team teleport.
I'm just waiting for Voo to invite me to team..
**EDIT** Also, WELCOME, NEW GUY!
Dusty Trophies
Thanks for the clarification. I'm still figuring out the whole mastermind thing. They are pretty powerful, but it takes some fine tuning to keep the pets from aggroing more mobs then you initially want.
I've hit 20 on Mortis Caine, I'm hoping as I level up I'll see more people. The server population seems pretty thin.
I think the lowbie levels redside are probably going to be more quiet these days as people wait for Demon Summoning to come out... I could see people waiting to start any villain because of it as well: I would guess that there will be a lot of people starting out redside whenever it hits. Also, there are some people who are waiting for GR to start out any lowbies again as well.
I'm in a bit of a fix with creating any new characters, personally, since I'm out of slots on Victory and don't really like playing much on other servers. I really hope GR gives it more slots. As it is, I'll have two lowbies starting up with GR (Pistols Blaster and Elec/Elec Brute I want to start in Praetoria and then bring to Paragon). I do have a Cold/Storm Corrupter concept that I'd like to start up, but again, I need the slots.
Shout out in our server's channels and get teams going, though. There should be people you can team with villainside, especially if they know you are running a team. I do have a level 15 Dominator and a 26 VEAT, for instance... and I would highly doubt that I'm one of the few people with villains in that range.

IMO, they are really a unique AT in the game with what you can do, even soloing AVs or running some missions at +4/+8.
Anyhow, as GP mentioned, join the global channels if you haven't already: Victory Forum (ask mod to unsilence) and Victory Badges 2009 (Victory Badges I think is full currently). Also, since the game is instanced for missions, you will not see a lot of people "outside". And if you do, usually they are running to the next mission.
And don't be afraid to start your own teams!

Rock, rock on Hamster.
The 3 MMs I have, I use the default Icon-commands that you get for the character, but slightly edited (right click , edit). I generally keep them on Def/Follow for the most part, but with the other 2 commands, I have Agg/GoTo if I want to use one or more as bait, and the other set to Def/KILL THAT GUY!!@$!@#$!@# when they all get ADD on me. I hardly ever split up the groups individually, but use the pet window to click and choose if one gets out of line.
My next two MMs are already lined up and probably will be treated the same way.
I keep key binds for powers the MM actually use themselves. I'm typically active as an MM *shrug*
I've already forgotten about most of you

Sandolphan's MM Binds
Learn them. Use them. Love them.
It's a whole 'nother game once you set them up.
Oh, and welcome to Victory and the game!

Ack. Yes, as Vood said, "Follow Defensive" is a major one as well. Forgot about that.

ive always just edited the "attack" button to say aggressive/defensive so they will aggressivly attack stuff but not stray too far from me, although i occasionally have to hit the "heel" button when they start chasing an enemy
i have 5 mm right now (1 for every primary, soon to add a 6th mm to the list), almost 3 of them are 50 (2 are 50 now and one is 47), then the other mm i have are in the mid to low 30s

It was my original understanding that most of the spam my minions generate is only visible to me and not other players, but I saw a post recently where someone complained of spam from thugs, and then mentioned MM's "who didn't know to turn off their toggles."
Where exactly are these toggles, I don't see them? I've also tried to turn off certain effects in game to speed up my computer performance, but I have only found the ability to turn off buff effects in one option screen.
