Taunt, autohit?
This guide will probably help you out.
Yes.
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.
Thanks for the guide. It was 6 years old. Also, never specifically said taunt was autohit on AVs.
That'll make what's phased not quite phased. Sound shouldn't travel. I'd say unaffected is as good as a miss.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not disrespecting Circ for his work and it was the best we knew at the time, but things have since been clarified more.
Got a link to that information?
Try this link. It goes to City of Data's dev digest cache (since the original post has been lost during the forum swap / purge). If you expand out the messages above the current one, you can see other responses Castle gave in that thread.
If you want the simplified threat formula, you can find it on ParagonWiki. (I believe it's in one of Castle's posts in CoD too, but this one is easier to find.)
THanks Sarrate for the up to date info. Guess I'll actually have to open something and read though lol.
Did I ask this wrong? What I meant to ask is if the Tank power taunt needs an accuracy enhancer in it? If it is autohit then no.....
But since you did all the work and responded I will read this as soon as I get my desk cleaned from some work so people dont start screaming at me :-)

Also as a side note, there are some enemies that are resistant to Taunt effects, which will lower the duration of the Taunt effect on them. Nemesis, for example, are resistant to Taunt effects.

Nope, you didn't - Taunt is autohit in PvE and requires no accuracy enhancers; that's for PvP only. I apologize, my comment was a bit of a tangent to the point of your thread. Someone posted Circ's guide, and I wanted to make sure people (not necessarily you) realized that portions of it have been revealed by the devs, and subsequently tested for accuracy, to be incorrect.
Also, don't feel obligated to read those links if you don't want to - it was no trouble to link them and they probably delves into more detail than you want. If you're curious about the more in depth nuances of the system, though, by all means go for it; just don't force yourself because I went through "the work." It wasn't any.
*throws up hands* Alright, mental note: always check ParagonWiki first. I knew the guide was old when I linked it, but I assumed (first mistake) that since there wasn't a more recent one, it was still reasonably accurate.
I appreciate all the responses here. Longtime brute player, occasional Tanker. My Brutes do not use taunt, cause that aint how I roll. My tanks are definitely not Scrankers, in fact they are more Tanktrollers. So having these links are important for me. I can delve down as far as I need to understand how i am affecting enemies.
Okay, gurus of the tanker world...Is taunt autohit all the time against everything PvE?
