Self destruct question
Your strategy works. I don't think you can do anything to affect its recharge though.
You might want to soften them up a bit before you hit self destruct too.

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
You be better of running into mob, hitting Self Destruct, Self Rezzing then imediatly hitting MoG to prevent you dieing a second time. MoG won't save you when you obliterate yourself.
Also, even if you get killed during the SD animation, SD still takes effect, so having MoG when you activate it doesn't matter either.

Thanks for the information guys, yeah was thinking of hitting mog on the way in to keep from faceplanting before the big boom but it may not be that big of a concern considering this is more of a RP tactic than something I'll be actually depending on to kill stuff. Thanks again =)
Anyone knows the numbers and base acc? I found in CoD it summons a pet called 'Explosion' that does about 55 energy dmg in 15' radius, but maybe it's a NPC power since the Self Destruct listed there recharges in 10 seconds.
It's affected by tohit like Aim and yellows right? I never used the power too much.

Weither It's affected by Yellow/Red Inspirations/Build Up etc I'm not 100% Sure, but I think it might. Provided you don't die before it's triggered. Otherwise no.
Thanks Chaos! I think the numbers are the same for all ATs... I took a long break from the game but I *think* it's affected by +tohit (yellows, aim, whatev) but not by +dmg (reds, the damage part of Aim/BU).

Thats prob for the best. A brute with say 80-100% Fury inside a mob, who just pumped 5-6 Reds hits that then goodbye mob, goodbye eyebrows, goodbye homeless guy 100ft away...not that anyone would care about the latter, former or inbetween.
Technically (except for recharge on some few powers) no vet or booster powers are affected by outside buffs. This, techincally, includes yellows - however yellows boost your to-hit(which is then modified by the powers accuracy), not accuracy. No surehow the game applies global accuracy bonus and how that interacts with the powers like the Vet attacks and self-destruct.

Recharge on [Self Destruction] might be an exception, but I'm not sure. I think it is set to ignore Recharge buffs and debuffs too.
Hitting [Aim] or [Build Up] before blowing up will make it more accurate - I have tested this with the Combat Monitor - but won't boost its damage.

The reds would be wasted. As I said above, it's flagged to ignore damage buffs and debuffs.

The self-damage it causes, by the way, is affected by your damage bonus and if there's any such thing as global +knockback, so is the mag 12.00 KB.

Is it affected by global recharge and hasten? I just got the cyborg pack and I've become a self destruct addict, I'm killing myself so often with this power that I'm making thug arsonists look like slackers.
Yeah I know it has a 1 hour recharge, but being on a regen toon I was thinking of a possible tactic: run into a large group of mobs with moment of glory on, self destruct, revive myself and then clean up the stragglers. Would this even work?
