Unlikely. They should make some less flashy versions of the vet costume pieces though or put alternate versions in paid expansion packs. Oh wait, they do that already for some pieces.

No, there are more people willing to wait because the system as it is, is fairly applied to all accounts.

People that get butt hurt over a change like that are nothing but tools and we would all be better off if they would just go away.

Oh hell yeah, and the same goes for the ones that get butt hurt over having to wait for their perks to unlock just like everyone before them waited.

Now I wouldn't object if the devs picked an end date for the vet reward program. That way new players would see that there would eventually come a time when they had just as many rewards as older players.

If they do that I would prefer they base it on an anniversary. For example 120 months/10 years.

Psst. Take a look at your game account page... The page is showing me when I should expect to get my rewards until Feb 2013: 96 Months. Looks like a good spot to end it. Though 96 months would be 8 years, not 10.

I chose 10 because it's a nice round number, and a nice milestone to achieve for both game and players.

Fine. Alternate suggestion. Retool the ability to pick veteran rewards just to costume pieces. Leave everything else as-is. That way new players don't have to wait for boxing gloves or something, and vets have something more than respecs and icon tokens to look foreward to. As the system is currently, devs can't introduce new vet costume pieces without upsetting players who just recently purchased the game. Tweaking the costume rewards would help that without "ruining" the system. That was what I was trying to adress. Finding a way to reward 78 month vets without upsetting the 24 monthers.

Is -that- better? D:
What do the 24 month vets have to be upset about? I had to wait 72 months for my 72 month vet reward, why shouldn't they?

Just for the record, here:

I want everyone to have all the costume options all the time. No time required. If the costume option is in the game, a character should be able to use it from the very first, pre-tutorial creator. This goes as much for unlockable-in-game options as it does for veteran reward options. The creator is this game's biggest asset and locking options out of it, I think, hurts this game immeasurably.

I'm a little less picky about the Booster Pack parts because they can be acquired by anyone at any time. If vets got booster packs for free (and people that bought them ahead of time got nothing because they've already gotten all the boosters), that would be fine with me.

Let the vets have their little powers, their little perks. Who cares? But the costumes? Those are a big farking deal.

We can agree that the general costumes should never have been made vet rewards. Trenchcoats, wings, samurai armor, Boxing outfit are way too useful with regular costumes.

Now if they had gone the route of making unique costumes that couldn't be intermixed with other items in the costume creator. For example some of the halloween costumes they added to the game a few years ago. That I wouldn't object to.

Those unique NPC costumes as vet rewards? Yeah, I could go for that too.

Nice to know that there is some common ground we can agree on instead of verbally sparring with each other.

It must be a sign of the Apocalypse.

Now having said that I understand why the devs used costume pieces as vet rewards. I still don't agree with it, but I do understand.

When vet rewards were started they didn't have the stuff they gave us later. I believe the costumes were what they had on hand that was ready to go into the game, so they used it to fill the gaps. That bought them some time to work on future rewards.

I know for a fact that the Wings angel/demon were originally intended to be costume recipes but they decided to give them to us early with the vet rewards rather than make us wait for I9 to be released.
