Bad analogy. Canadian dollars has actually become much more desirable lately. Current exchange rates I think are very close to 1:1. In some cases, the CAD is worth more than US dollars.
As to your point about red versus blue influence, yeah, the price of infamy has definitely degraded somewhat after the MM exploit and is still probably recovering.
Oh, didn't know. All my Canada/US money exchange rate is from the fronts of magazines, and probably years old data at that. Who gets magazines anymore?
But, there are services out there, people here actually, who'll do it for 20%. Not sure if that's before the WW to change servers once on the Blue side, if required.
I don't wanna say names in case they don't wanna do that stuff at the time.
I, too, have been looking to trade a large amount of Infamy on Freedom for Influence on Freedom or Virtue. I've gotten 3 Billion done of the 10 billion I want to move. I'm only interested in 1 to 1. After people fulfill the original poster's desire come on down to me

Why I can't help you make the exchange is that red inf. is now worth way less than blue inf., because of the MM exploit. In the past, I converted for free no questions asked, and now all my inf. is red. I'm hoping, once I17 hits, to resume helping people out with exchanges, but we'll see.
GR, also, will theoretically liven up the exchange market.
