Hm, I am allergic to structure, but that seems like a good idea.
A FAQ might be a useful thing, covering the basic-basics like global and teaming.

No hurry on that FAQ - whenever it's available please link to it and I'll add it to the channel's MOTD. Whenever it's ready. Hehehehe.
As for structure... gotta be upfront here, the channel is pretty much it.
I've been in P.E.R.C. as a senior rep., Superolympics Committee, founded and managed a 30+ SG coalition on Protector for years. Trust me when I say that I *do* think we should keep this as simple as possible, and as open as possible, in light of this past experience.
We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns to be a sort of executive officer for the week but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs but by a two thirds majority in the case of...
... wait, no. That's not us.
There is no structure to speak of beyond neophytes and mentors.
Mentors can be as involved, or as detached as their schedule allows. they have free reign in their partnerships with neophytes. The only requirement is joining the N P C channel. If they fill in the registration form ot officialize their status, they are promoted to OP in the channel and could also act as their server coordinator.
Coordinators hold any loot donations collected for events promoting the project, one fore each side on each server preferrably, and in cases involving serious grievances between mentor and neophyte could step in as mediators. They hold no special authority more so than any other mentor otherwise.
I seriously doubt we'll ever need that last role ever to be used, to be honest, but we originally thought it would be a good idea to implement it now, just in case.

This is actually a good idea. I got to my mid-20s to 30s by myself when I 1st started playing, doing everything the hard way. Then I joined a good SG, asked questions, browsed the forums & it all helped me learn to play the game better. Would love to help out with this whenever I get time.

We've had another mentor sign up tonight, which is great.
I'd like to offer an incentive for neophytes to join (max of only the 3 mo vet badge, no alt accounts, and any other disclaimers I need to make up on the fly).
10mil inf (either side) if they join channel N P C.
Yeah, they could technically quit right after they got the loot, but I'm doing this as a good-faith thing and would hope it would be taken as such.

If you haven't joined a global channel, you're not really looking for team.
This is one of the reasons that Justice server is the absolute BEST! You guys rock!
I can donate some funds if needed enri.
Justice now has 7 mentors who cite Justice as a primary server they play on.

And that's the 2nd best server representation overall, so not too shabby at all.

And that would be 10.
When you're in the N P C channel, SinisterDirge, let one of the mods know so you can get mod status as well (both accounts if you want).
█ Players Guide to the Cities
The Mentor Project overall has hit 50! mentors.
10 of them call Justice their home and for that, I am sincerly grateful that so many are willing to sacrice their time (and a global channel - stupid 10 limit restriction), energy, and resources to make this a glowing sucess.
I'd like to thank everyone who has volunteered for such a role and I would encourage anyone interested to look at the link in my signature.
Also, if you're teamed with someone who you feel may benefit from having active and willing sucke...people to guide new or returning players, please refer them to the Mentor Project.
This only works if we can reach people who would appreciate the help.
Thanks again.

Attention Justice Mentors and all Mentor Project Neophytes:
In conjunction with Justice Events, there will be two spots available to team with a Redname!
(Info is here)
Here's what this means to you.
First, there will be a total of two Neophytes who are present and subject to the qualifications listed in the Auction rules who will have the opportunity to run a tf/sf with a Redname (and a few others on the team). In a nutshell, you don't have to spend any inf to qualify, just be a registered Mentor Project neophyte with 2 vet badges or less and be present to have a chance on the team.
For the Justice Mentors, you have a chance to be on the team as well! All Mentors who have listed Justice as one of their play servers and who have filled out an application to be a Mentor at a time prior to this post are eligible.
Here's what you have to do - compose a haiku about neophytes and send it to me via PM no later than one day prior to the day of the Auction.
Each of the two Rednames will have all submitted haikus provided to them in a manner that replaces your names with numbers and each will chose one as their favorite. The Mentor whose haiku is selected by the Redname will be on the team containing that Redname.
In the event that both chose the same haiku, they will decide amongst themselves one apiece.
For the Mentors, you do not need to be present at the auction to win. Just get those haikus in.

Feel free to count me in. I'm always happy to help either with general game info or AT strategies like Blaster range pulls, Tank corner herding, and so on.

Hello everyone,
I'd like to make everyone aware of the opportunity available on Justice for neophyte players to recieve help and advice from mentors.
The basic idea is to pair a mentor with a neophyte, with the mentor providing whatever guidance they feel appropriate, but ideally covering the basics of global channels, teaming, enhancements, and so on.
So this is a recruiting pitch.
If you're new to the game and would like someone to help you learn the game, answer questions, and basically have someone in the game who can act as a guide, this is something you may be interested in joining.
If you're an experienced player (and by experienced, I mean simply that you know how to team, join global channels, and explain how to play the game), and would enjoy helping to guide a neophyte player, then I encourage and welcome you to join.
This is being done under the auspices of the Mentor Project and as a result, both neophytes and mentors have available to them a wealth of others available to assist in any way they can.
For more information, please visit http://tinyurl.com/yaepkxn
If you have any questions or would like to join, please reply to this post or contact me in game.
Thank you,
