How long are the Strike Forces?

Approximately how long are the respective CoV Strike Forces? I would like to have a general idea of how long they take so I can run whichever one I have the most time for.

For example, this past weekend I teamed for the Crystal of Serafina SF. It was my mastermind, 2 corruptors, and a brute at level 40 and took just under 2 hours (we skipped to the end on the last mission). That seems like an SF I can play on a weeknight, with work early the next morning. How are the others?

Thanks for any help you can provide. Prior to my post, I looked around on the forums and Paragonwiki for an answer, but I did not find one. If I missed an in-depth post that already answers my question, please point it out.

Thanks!

Roughly speaking if you take the number of merits that it awards and divide by 24 you will get the average time required in hours. Obviously some people can do it faster than this and if you get a horrible team (or just one that wants XP and doesn't stealth) then it will take longer. But the merit rewards are a good guideline.

All the Villain SFs (Except Lord Recluse) are designed to be approximately the same length. As for looking on Paragonwiki, the best way to look up what you seek is to look up each Strike Force, and count the # missions to get a rough idea.

from experience running them, normal runs take about:

1-1.5 hours for tarikoss sf
2-3 hours for silver mantis
1.5-2 hours for renault
1-2 hours for ice mistral
1.5-2 hours for LRSF
1.5-2.5 hours for barracuda

Thanks all for the quick responses. Your knowledge will help me plan my SF/badge collecting adventures (wait, villians....), er, schemes.

And Necrotech_Master, thanks for team last sunday with your dual pistolero. Got a level out of that with my MM Legion.

Also, there are three SFs in Ouroborus that are usually neglected that are usually not long though difficulty on two of them may fluctuate on team skill. I'd actually suggest trying the Mender Tesseract SF since it's pretty short and not really hard for the average team.

Eh. I think you might be a bit generous, assuming how well the team meshes and how competent they are (and how many missions you rush).

Tarikoss: 30 minutes to 1.5 hours
Silver Mantis: 1-3 hours
Eyeball SF: 1.5-3 hours
Ice Mistral: 45 minutes to 3 hours
LRSF: 45 minutes to 3 hours
Oooooo Baracuda: 45 minutes to 3 hours

In my experience, most of those run in the middle of those ranges; you should always be prepared for the worst, especially if pugging with strangers. Half the team might be stalkers, two people might quit, one person doesn't have any enhancements slotted, etc etc.

i was assuming no stealthing, the average team (approx half the team has done it and half the team has not)

i know ive done 15 min tarikoss sf, 45 min ITFs, 1 hour LRSFs, ect, but that was on a very experienced team stealthing/skipping as many mishs as possible

I don't think doing the TF before or not is usually a huge factor. There's just no bigger factor then competence and poor teaming behavior.

You know, people who go after 30 seconds every two minutes at random, don't pay attention to what the team is doing and accidentally aggros two more spawns while the team is still fighting one, etc etc.

SFs are a little more standardized fortunately. TFs can range from 10 minutes to 8 hours. Yes, seriously!

If you're taking 8 hours to do a task force you're doing something SERIOUSLY wrong.

Even Doctor Q should take more than 5 hours (6 if you take your time). 8 is pretty horrible even for that.

The first time I participated in Dr. Q, I crawled into a hot shower afterwards and cried in fetal position. That and my first TF experience had been a 4 hour positron TF with 8 members.

Sadly those experiences and a few other teaming incidences have colored my view of blueside.

I'd go with what Adeon Hawkwood had posted. Redside Sfs tend to go much more smoothly and in my experience are much more fun.

Tarikoss can sometimes take more than 2h, and Renault (eyeball) can be done sometimes for 1h (had that experience in PuG team).

Actually, I can relate to this, because it's happened to me more than once.

My favorite is when (about a year ago) a friend of mine and I thought it would be cool to start a Positron TF one night. Got a full team of 8 and set off on our merry way. On the 1st mish one person DCed and never came back. During the 2nd mish, 3 people decided that the CoT were too tough and quit. And about the 6th mish another person just gave up.

Left with a SS/Inv tank, an Ele/EA tank and a Rad/Rad defender, we were determined to finish the TF and plodded through the whole thing until the end. It only took us 7 hrs. and 45 min. to complete and sure got one helluva workout that night. LOL
