Second account questions
Yes, you will need to purchase another whole copy of CoH in order to start a second account. No, the same billing info on both won't throw up any flags.

On a side note, you can add the second game account to your existing PlayNC account, which already has your existing billing information. It also makes it easier to manage both of them at the same time under one PlayNC account.
Also, note that I believe there is a block on purchasing the same retail item twice in the same day using the same billing information, so keep that in mind when new versions come out for upgrade. This is regardless if the accounts are under the same PlayNC account or not.

From what I understand, PayPal does get around it though.

Just be sure, in this case, that you DO use the code to create a NEW account, and NOT to upgrade your current one.
I have two game accounts, both under my single NCSoft account, both billed to the same card. (One is prepaid a year at a time, so I don't know if they would bill on the same date each month.) The second game account will need its own user name, and you should use a completely different password for each for security.

Actually, that's a security measure and it doesn't relate to it being the same retail item. And, annoyingly, it's random. I have successfully purchased the same item twice in one day on the same credit card. I have also had the system tell me NO and had to use a different card for the second purchase.

Here's the specifics on the policy from the Support site:
Online Code Purchase Limits
I am trying to purchase another serial code through the web site, but am told that I cannot purchase any more. Why is this? We have implemented new purchase limits to help prevent fraudulent credit card use. These limits restrict the number of codes which can be purchased for each product per household and/or credit card used within a certain timeframe. This is a system-wide security measure. Trying to purchase past the limit on a different or new account will result in the following error. You have reached the maximum limit of serial code purchases allowed at this time. For more details on these limits, visit our Knowledge Base article for Online Code Purchase Limits. If you wish to purchase more than the number of codes allowed per timeframe, you will need to visit a different online retailer or a local retailer to purchase additional copies of the game. We do not have the ability to override these limits on an individual basis. |
Also, you can buy one of the editions through steam now.

Just had a quick question about starting a second account. I was wondering if I need to make another purchase of CoX? Generally, just the process. Want to do some self-pl over the 2xp weekend. Also, would using the same billing information cause any flags to be thrown?
Thanks!
