Ability to turn base objects 45 degrees...

Yes, please. On all counts.

My SG leader managed to turn one of the vet reward comic cover posters at an angle. He would never tell me how he did it though so I can't repeat it here 
But it's apparently possible. (May only be with wall items though)

yeah, theres a way to do it, but it is hard to figure out and i don't think you can move the object after you do manage to get it turned like that. i figure this would be just like when they changed the magic desks. all we have to do now to turn an object is right click but it goes 90 degrees. i don't see why they can't change it to go in 45 degree inc's.

I'd prefer it to be able to turn in 360 degrees instead of 45 degrees. In the item details window, there could be a left and right arrow (similar to tailor window) that turns the item.
Probably easier to do 45 degree increments, though.

The Shoji Wall Lamps allow stacking of wall items, and, with careful effort, you can stack things diagonally on their corners.
360 degrees in 15 degree increments would probably be perfect...

i don't worry about problems. sometimes people agree on something, sometimes they don't. kinda like anopther thread or 2 where someone and i agree in one thread but i don't agree with the same persons own thread. that is what is fun about discussions is trying to get the other person to see your point of view.
and i am glad to see that other people feel the same as i do about more options in the degrees you can turn objects.
I'd love to be able to turn items.

You can also use the round wall lights. They have a 45 degree adjustment built into them (once you place them, they can be angled). So, you can place your wall light, angle it, and stack another wall item on it at the adjusted angle. As far as I know, it only works for wall items.
That being said, I would love if all items had a 45 degree adjustment, it would at the very least make putting chairs around a circular table more realistic (among many other very useful applications). But, honestly, I am not holding my breath for base love. And, considering the "love" our salvage capacity received over a year ago, I'm cautious about wishing.

thats right. i would like to be able to turn my base items in 45 degree increments. it would make placing things in corners and things around objects much easier. then again, i would like to see a little bit of base loving soon, and a lot more soon after.
