There are times I miss the AE farms, only if for the mad leveling in the low to mid levels. I have a scrapper that REALLY needs to be in Cimerora for storyline purposes, but I'm still two levels away from getting there. And I have a level 12 Corruptor that is really, really squishy. But I'm hanging with doing things by the book redside since I've never really been over there before. But man, my AR/Traps Corr does get chewed up pretty often.

The new breed of AE farms are a joke compared to the old ones. They can almost be left in place. I only see good level gain before lvl 20 so I use them to PL my alts to Stamina, but the high-level toons advance about as slowly as ever.

The only good thing about the speed runs is that anyone can do them, even a mere lvl 1 scrapper can start powerleveling himself (which feels WRONG!), making sewers runs obsolete again (but still fun)

Still amazes me that the henchman thing is allowed to go on

This is fixed on test. They are normal xp with tiny amounts of tickets like a normal for in AE.

I miss the AE farms when it comes to the redside market. It made getting 12 full sets of Crushing Impact VERY easy and very cheap to get.

You know, I just tried one of those "speed runs" last night, because I was all curious about them.

I actually found it fun! It didn't take itself at all seriously. And the NPC hero costumes were cool. It almost felt like a parady of the actual game; a satire on its repetitive nature. I actually found it refreshing.

Are they only changing the mastermind exploit? (Which I hadnt even heard of until yesterday)

I hope they leave AE alone otherwise. I have some big outdoor maps filled with CoT and other Canon foes (for full XP) that I do regularly when I just want to mindlessly beat up stuff and earn tickets.

I hope that will be unchanged.

Yeah, it's the boss MM pet exploit that's being fixed and as far as I know that's all.

Farming normal enemies isn't something that the powers at be are thrilled about per se, but it's not considered an exploit. You should be fine.

I like Council myself. ^_^

Glad to hear they are on it. In the meantime, I learned that it was fairly good for getting my lowbie alts to the mid-teens in 1-2 runs, so now I have much more toons to play, which will not help my altitis

Is the samurai farm still around on test?

I've used the speed runs to get a few characters past the really early levels. And to put a level or 2 on characters that don't solo well (pre level 32 Illusion/Force Field controller anyone?)

My only reaql problem with them is that very seldom does anyone even attempt to give them a plot. By far, the most epic fail on writing a plot I have seen yet was "...". That was it, that was the ONLY dialog anywhere in the mission. Yes, it's an exploitive farm, but at least have some fun with it!

During the heyday of the comm officers I had one in which the contact berated the characters for being a dirty farmer. It was amusing as hell. But not nearly as amusing as the feedback I got from it. I had numerous people that were extremely offended because my contact was giving them grief for being a farmer. These same people ran my arc numerous times.....which just means my contact was absolutely correct.

I don't create any exploitive arcs anymore (unless you count the one that was designed for my spines/fire scrapper with nothing but fire-wielding enemies in it), but when I did, at least I had a sense of humor about it.

I'm with ya, they suck for xp compared to the old ones, but sill a nice quick way to get to 20 and then it's off to Cap for some good ol' content, oh wait I'm already there! lol

I'm pretty sure, it does follow the min, lt, boss XP rules. It's just set up like a farm, groups just a few feet outside each other's aggro range, but close enough to herd if you can handle two groups.
