What benefits would you receive from being a student though?
no idea, honestly i hate day job badges because they take way too long to get (it feels that way for me, ive barely played my main toon at all in the last year and i still have about 3 day jobs left, which is another 2 months or so of offline time)
i dont mind the bonuses too much, but the badges take way too long to get.

Student day job + Hospital day job = Trolls Gone Wild Accolade.
Ability to summon troll rave in a gang war style party. 20% of the spawn will attack your team as well.
.01% chance that BaBs will also spawn and ruin your party.
But seriously, student's about learning, right? I'd say Student would give a 5% Increase to Patrol XP. (That is, your patrol xp bar would increase 5% faster while you're logged out in this day job location. 10% once you have the badge)

I think the way they came up with cool little bonuses for the current Day Jobs was a cool idea. But it seems like the Devs might have forced a limitation on themselves if they think every Day Job -must- be connected to some kind of bonus like that. There's only so many unique kinds of things they could come up with to link Day Jobs to.
I think they could probably add a bunch of other Day Jobs (like Student) if they accepted the idea of just making them good for badges. The people who only care about Day Jobs for the bonuses could stick to those and other people who only care about Day Jobs as badges could have some new ones to earn. Seems like a win-win to me.

It'd be much easier to just accept a doubling up of bonuses, Lothic. I'd be a lot less annoyed if Student gave an identical bonus to Police Officer than if it gave no bonus at all. The idea of having to choose between "No day job bonus" or "New badge" really isn't an appealing one. It already hurts a little when you go to a day job that doesn't do much for you (like Arachnos Official on my guy who has Fly).

I got a pair of toons who could really use this badge. I even know an exact set of buildings in Atlas I'd love to see turned into a regular school, but that's just me being selfish.
For a bonus... how about a 5% crafting discount (inf cost, not the salvage you need) pre-badge and 10% post-badge? The explanation could be taking advantage of your access to school supplies, perhaps.
i dont think they should add any ne day job badges, they have enough already, if they do add more i dont want badges associated with it, currently with all the day jobs it takes approx. 440 days offline to gt every day job badge, my main is still 4 day jobs short and ive rarely had a chance to play him since day jobs wre released becaue it takes so freakin long to get the day job badges in the first place. what they should do for day jobs is decrease the amount of time needed for them from 3 weeks to 2 weeks (which is still horribly long, but then they woulnt be day jobs)

You're not expected to have all the badges. If you're that obsessive a badger that you stopped playing your character to get that extra speed on day job badges, well... It clearly means you've got all the other badges on your character to have that sort of time and he's done anyway. So this lets you keep getting badges.

No, it wouldn't. That's 100% less sleep resistance, which means that all sleep effects are doubled in duration.

StatusResistance of -100% = -1.0, therefore:
FinalDuration = InitialDuration / (1 - 1) = InitialDuration / 0
Unless you've got an effect active that grants Sleep Resistance, a -100% Sleep Resistance debuff would cause a divide-by-zero error.
Double duration occurs at -50% resistance (F = I / (1 - 0.5) = I / 0.5 = I * 2)
The same applies to Recharge debuffs, but the Recharge debuff floor is -75%. There is no known status resistance debuff floor.

I never do it for the badge. I just add the day job thing just to help with my character's backstory

Since we are getting a new city and what not. I was thinking we should actually have a student day job or whatever. I get that it's not a job..but some heroes may be teens, college students, and or kids. They need a day job location for them. I'm not sure of the rewards but I still think we need other schools.
