Global Friends list is empty?

mine is also gone as well as most of my channel list and no way to re add the ones that are gone
what is going on here???

This happens very rarely, but it's not permanent. I'm guessing there's a separate server that runs channels/globals (since they are cross-server) and it's having issues or something. Incidentally, when this happened before I couldn't zone into any missions either. I am sure it will be fixed soon, but you will just have to wait it out.

Same issue here on virtue as well.
And here I was thinking that all of my friends simultaneously hated and deleted me at the same time.

Chat chans are also dropping intermittently, and we're getting the character replacement glitch again, as well.
Things to remember:
-Common sense ain't;

-If someone asks if you're a god, run away.
Late last night/early this morning the global channels and global friends started going down. It seems that the server was just starting to fail. At one point all my global channels looked like someone changed all the names to leet

There is a separate server cluster for global chat channels, if I remember right.
That's why you get a situation where you can play the game, but cant' see any global chat channels or send people tells based on their global name, or see your global friends list.
They've been promising to upgrade the global chat server for a while now, and perhaps they actually have. I have noticed, lately, the global chat server doesn't spontaneously disconnect people nearly as often as it used to.
However, it is still not up to par with the rest of the service, IMO.
Your global friends list is still stored on the global chat server, and will be restored when it comes back up.
