They could be as strong as us.
A tank have 1,000 HPs and do low damage the NPC tanker could be the same : D This may not overpower us, it will still make the mission harder.
Your idea would make the gladiators better though ; )
I just though of something! Know the old Pocket D? The one in Steel, well we could make it a like hero base where all of your heroes from each sever can hang out. That where you can pick who on your team ; ) It would be a like the Super Base, but it is yours and it cost nothing to decorate it how ever you like. Maybe make missions where you unlock stuff to put in there.
You have to be on {hero} friend list or team to get in their personal base : D

There are a lot of things that would be cool to have in the game. Sadly coolness isn't going to convince the devs to implement them.
I think we should be able to have anyname we want. You know, they can use Firebutt@Firestorm : P like that. While we are at making teams ; ) also we need more slots. I know I can buy them but I am poor : P

It would make the chat system ugly as hell.
It would likely add to confusion as folks later said "Gee was it Firebutt%Firestorm that griefed the Hami raid last night, or Firebutt%FlameStrike?".
I would give that system 24 hours before someone would come here and say "I saw someone with a cool global name. I want it. Can we tack more stuff in the chatbox so I can be Charactername%GlobalName%IP-Address?"

Why do people care if they see someone with the same name as theries? You still can see them on other severs. I don't think Champions would have done it if it was a bad idea.

1. The costume thing I'll agree to.
2. Nemesis thing I'll agree to as well.
3. Travel Powers
Flight - They have nothing we couldn't duplicate with recipes or that we already have with auras. Oh and our jetpacks actually work. We win there.
Superspeed both games have it
Acrobatics - we have Ninja Run.
Super Jump both games have it.
Swinging looks good in a city zone but looks stupid when there's nothing for the ropes to swing from.
Tunneling I admit it's different but I recall reading theres a problem with how our zones are made that would make it difficult at best to implement.
Teleport they win hands down.
4. The name thing. We shall fight you on the seas and oceans, we shall fight to keep our names unique in the air, we shall defend our names, whatever the cost may be,we shall fight you on the beaches, we shall fight you on the landing grounds, we shall fight you in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight you in the hills, we shall never surrender. You can have our unique names when you pry them from our cold dead fingers.
5. The team thing. While I have no doubt we will be getting more temp power pets, and I do look forward to that day, the extent that you want it is wishful thinking.
I just though of something that what be interesting, not a very great thing but it is something for a level 50 to do.
You ould buy a house, and find a cute citizen to marry and have kids. Then you can get new misions like someone breaking in your house. Or saving your kid/wife : P
I know this is the worst idea I had, but it is something to do....

Sounds like something that could be written up as a story arc.
It would have to consider the gender of spouse that the player's character would want to marry, which we don't know. I haven't checked Rhode Island laws, and I'm pretty sure anything goes in the Ettoiles for two or more sorta-consenting adults.

The buying a house mission would be pretty dull. A big-haired real estate lady, dealing with the mortgage broker, an hour or so of paperwork signing. Then getting windowshades, trash cans, a lawnmower...etc.
Who would be breaking into a L50's house that would be a threat?
Arachnos, PPD, Longbow, Malta or Crey seeking to kidnap your family to leverage against you.
Carnies wanting to recruit your daughter?
Clockwork wanting to recruit your toaster?
Freakshow getting the wrong address?
CoT seeking that artifact that you retrieved for Azuria, but it's not at M.A.G.I. right now, so they assume you still have it?
Nemesis wanting to...something very complicated.
Hellions/Skulls REALLY getting the wrong address. "Dude, it was gonna be a simple smash and grab. Get the VCR and some jewelry and split, ya know? Next thing, it's freakin' Captain Stupendous Man comin' outta da bathroom throwing lightning rays at us. The first three guys were turned to ash right in front of me. I ran like heck outta there. I seen him on the news poundin' on a 50ft robot single-handed, I don't think a pistol is gonna do me any good.

I suppose that something decent could be made out of it. Anything is possible.

Konshu had a nice idea with the recurring NPCs... I also like the idea of using our Gladiators for something more than Arena, as I myself was NEVER able to enter a Pet-Arena match and see what it is.. :-( But I must say nothing like this is necessary if you´re looking for a team, that can be found though chat most of the times.
Anyway there are SEVERAL balance issues to go through, plus the fact that have NPCs do all the work is incredbly boring...
