How did you get "Wizard" - a character at Marvel, DC, and Archie Comics - and "Hawk" - a character both in G.I. Joe and DC comics ? Whoever is checking for copyrighted names was sleeping on the job that day ?

If I hadn't already made all of my characters, I'd jump on some of those.
Because they're both simply nouns. Hawk of Hawk and Dove would require full costume and backstory to be infringement. And in 13 years of running a comic store, I've never seen "Wizard" in marvel, dc or archie... maybe a very background character, but certainly not one that would warrant any infringement lookover.

Not for nothing, but how in the world would you be able to guarantee that the purchaser gets the name? If someone else hits OK before the purchaser does with the same name, will you be giving a refund?

I'd meet up with the person that I was trading the name to. We'd meet up in game and I'd let the person know I was deleting the name in 60 seconds so they could get it. Using the /getglobalname feature I'd make sure they got the name on their account.
Sure, I guess someone could get the name in the time that one person is clicking the OK button continuously and I'm deleting the name. But I doubt it. And if it did happen? Yes, I'd give a refund.
Hey man, with all the complaining I hear about no good names left, I think this is a pretty cool idea to get some good old fashioned non hyphenated/xXx'ed/number-letter names back on the market.
I wish you luck in your trading endeavors.
If I didnt already have half the cool names on the server I might take you up on one
