Toon Transfers: Which Server(s) Have the Best/Worst Player Populations?
Every server cept Virtue and Freedom is dead during the day and non primetime hours.
So if you are moving, pick a winner and go with Virtue.
You couldn't pay me to play on Virtue.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
Furries are mythical. Even in Pocket D. Well, there's Rowr, but she's not your usual furry.
I suggest staying out of Pocket D, then. Just use the hallways to jump between zones.

Of the 3 servers I've played in (Virtue, Freedom and Victory), Freedom is the 'best' one. It has the highest over-all population, the highest redside population of the three, and the most people looking to group up.
Victory was the least populated of the three but is still pretty full of folks playing. It does, however, seem to have more people looking to solo. I've only ever been able to do one TF there and it was with only 5 people. On Freedom, I have no problem finding a full group for whatever TF I want to do.
Virtue, in the week I spent playing a villain there, seems to have the least people on redside of the three. In the whole week, no one ever used broadcast to look to team up, and the map pops were half of Victory's. I know it's not an RP thing, blueside broadcast channels are filled with people looking for teams.
My suggestion: explore the servers and you'll find the one that's best for you. I still have toons on all three of the above.

A friend of mine convinced me to give Virtue a try back in 2006. It was so incredibly laggy in Atlas Park that I logged off and never bothered coming back.

When I turn the settings down, though, and am able to run around stably, I notice that Atlas Park isn't exceptionally laggy. It's got people there, sure, but there are easy ways to mitigate that, and the place is quite easy to avoid, or just run through.

But Virtue has P_P.
I'll be sticking to Triumph, the Country Club server.
And by Country Club, I mean they have a dress code - pants optional.
When I was on Vic it had a decent number of people.
Of course, then the HBSS got run out of town on a rail for being too risque'... figure we lost a quarter of the server pop right there.
I miss those folks, they were fun to team with.

HBSS?
As for Freedom, I might move my villains there instead of Virtue. Is Freedom really hostile to RP'ers though? I don't RP all the time, but when I'm with the right people, it's fun.

Freedom is RP-hostile in the same way that a windstorm would be public speaking-hostile.
The majority of the players probably don't care one way or another, but the aggregate player noise would most likely drown out any public RP.
And the HBSS was the acronym for a supergroup on Victory known as the Hot Bod Super Squad. It consisted of mostly young couples that were, how shall we say, rather uninhibited with each other. There was a single thread on the Victory forum that was known to be full of innuendo and silliness (like the Virtue "rookery" threads, only more innuendo and less silliness).
The group got a bit of a rep with the Victory Cabal, and was pretty much chased off the Victory Forum. Some players still are around, but most migrated to other servers.

I don't public RP so much, but in receptive teams I have been known to. Also, since Freedom has the highest red-side population, I may move most of my villains over there, and leave Virtue for my heroes.

*looks at 50s, looks at who I was teaming with and where last night*
The HBSS and HBNS (and, though less active, HBSqS) are still around. With the HBCS (chaos squad - "let someone else pick your AT/powersets") on another server. Things have calmed down a bit, but we're certainly still active there. Most of the artwork I've had done in the gallery - normally posted in the fanart section? The majority are HB's.

Just want to post that I play redside on Virtue and the combination of global channels, a friendly attitude, and willingness to *gasp!* form my own teams for SFs and the like have left me unable to log in without getting multiple tells asking me what I have planned for the night. In the hour I logged in so far today, I joined a speed ITF and declined two invites to mission teams and a themed LGTF, all redside. This is completely apart from the BNY boredom and spam. So, if you like redside, don't fear Virtue.
This may or may not help.....

Er... I believe the wikia link is the old, "slowly taken over by RMT spam" site.
