Dark Armor - is Physical Perfection a must?
I highly doubt you'd need it. Spines/Dark scrappers have gotten along quite well with an extra high end toggle without PP for years (including my own). Remember: attacks consume the majority of your end, so slot them well. Just don't throw a bunch of leadership pool powers and focused accuracy on top. ^_^

If you've got the influence or merits for those items, you're fine.
I am L18 and I have a miracle in heal now and at 20 I will get stamina and at 21 I will put in a chance for + end in that also. When I get to L27 I have a Numina recovery to also put in heal. With all this is PP still needed?

I have the Miracle unique slotted, and the Numina's unique, and the Perf Shifter proc. I took Dark Consumption (dark melee END stealing power) at level 38, thinking I would need the endurance, but hardly ever use it. I just hit 44 and, since my END problems were pretty much non-existent, I took Focused Accuracy as my 10th toggle power.

The Mentor Project
I think it is pretty obvious that Physical Perfection is not a must...since it just came out and Dark Armor has been around.
If I remember correctly I think a real popular choice for /dark is to slot the Theft of Essence +end proc into Dark Regen and you have a 20% for +10 end per target. That combined with your current plan should make PP skippable.
Level 50s: to many to remember at this point

I wouldn't call it a must, but I did consider that possibility. On the more cost effective side of the End issues you could slot 3 parts of Theft of Essence, at your own discression, to receive a maximum End boost for Dark Regeneration, Siphon Life, and even Soul Transfer. Not to mention several other max End and End recovery boosts in some mighty useful sets that can later be boosted by the Portal Jockey and The Atlas Medallion to quite easily push your End pool over 120.
Hello. I am playing Dark Armor and yes, with every power being a toggle it eats my end, but it is not really that bad. I am L18 and I have a miracle in heal now and at 20 I will get stamina and at 21 I will put in a chance for + end in that also. When I get to L27 I have a Numina recovery to also put in heal. With all this is PP still needed?
I also must say though that after playing Dark it is the most fun armor set I have ever played and I think it is highly downplayed only because of the end cost? Just imho. |
Maybe it's not as direct a plan, but it's been effective for me.
I was thinking... and then I realized that wasn't exactly the smartest thing for me to be doing.
Yes, it really is great. I had an Elec/Dark Brute on an innactive account. Along with that proc and good end red slotted in DR, the endurance consumption isn't that bad.

Absolutely. This is one of the true build changing slot choices.
City of Heroes was my first MMO, & my favorite computer game.
