I've had a fire/kin for a while now but never bothered putting IO sets. This is my first 50 thati'm actually going to put sets in so I need some major help. I've tried to figure it out, but i'm not the best at it as you can tell by the build. Anyway here it is!

I don't know what you're going for, it's hard to tell from that build. Defense? Recovery? PVP? (lots of expensive PVP IOs) You're all over the place.

Siphon Power's fine single slotted (you can drop it entirely if you take Ring of Fire)

Siphon Speed has 4 recharge, adding the 4th does almost nothing, maybe change 1 to accuracy

The miracle:+recovery should be moved to health, transfusion needs accuracy as well (5 touch of nictus is how I slot it)

I like 4 expedient reiniforcements in fire imps so they recharge faster if one of them dies

Speed Boost is fine with a single endmod unless you want more set bonuses

Chance for End in Transference is overkill, you can change to the cheaper Efficacy set

Range in Fulcrum Shift? You should be close enough that it hits you as well.

like i said i'm new for IO sets, i am going for a farm build mostly.

You're 1 enhancement short of recharge bonuses for a lot of those powers.

Please don't build your scrapper like you made your fire/kin.

Please read this: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Rule_of_...e_Law_of_Fives

Your 6th purple set does absolutely nothing from a +rech standpoint And lol @ the Hetacomb in boxing - you do realize right that it does absolutely nothing from a set bonus standpoint since you've already gotten 5 of the same kind of enhancement for recovery/fire-cold resists/accuracy elsewhere.

According to what you've posted, you're only at 50% recharge since you didn't take advantage of 6 slotting Efficacy Adaptor or 5 slotting Doctored Wounds and/or Red Fortune.

Also double demerits for not having siphon speed and hasten and taking of all things...the medicine pool.

What a needlessly expensive, inefficient and wasteful build.

for farming.. its crap.

@Psycho Jas

Posted

change up the fire mastery for earth mastery....there are a few other things that needs to be changed.....some of the powers you don't need that can be replaced by others....this build would be fine for teaming and being support but not for farming.

Lmao! First off don't listen to anyone that has posted before me, the best kin farmers don't share what they know since they don't want anymore competition, but there are ways around that rule. I'll take what you have for a build and post what I would do with it in my next post.

Now couple of things....

TP friend is nice an all, but you are farming not teaming, and now a days travel powers are as common as farms. Plus there is a the vet reward for tping the team now.

Two, when it comes to farming, remember two things, speed and accuracy. Sure it's nice that you can do mad damage and all, but it's not ok, if your waiting on powers to charge or your not hittin thoughs +1s, +2s.... so on.

That's all the help I'll give if you want to see my fire/kin in action, be my guest and add me @wulfesdomain. That goes for anyone that doubts me, I'll prove you wrong gladly. I play on freedom, 80% of the time, but do get on the others once in a while.

(Edit)

Oh one thing I did forget is price. This build as it looks now well be a little pricey, but this took me about a month of off and on playing to get enough influence to get somewhat this same build. I would need to look at the market, but I think it's pretty do able.

Right, like there's some big secret to farming with a fire/kin. Farming is one of the simplest things you can do in this game lol.

You're naive if you think that it's so terribly complicated to put together a decent farming build or for that matter a high performance farming build.

This "secret build" stuff is silly. There's only a certain combination of required powers and possible IO sets that go into them. I seriously laugh at people who think builds are top secret and no one could possilbly ever stumble upon them. I'm not stupid enough to think that what I come up with in a build is so original that no one else has ever thought of it. Please, give it a rest.

And farming isn't competitive since it's mostly a solo activity (or it should be if you're maximizing drops/influence for yourself). In what way does your fire/kin compete with mine? Let me give you the answer: it doesn't.

Further, I find all this talk about farming with fire/kins a waste of time anyway. 1) Fire/kins aren't really any faster than a number of others builds that can be built rather cheaply. 2) Market > farming in terms of influence/infamy gain. If someone wanted to gain influence quickly, I'd tell them to learn the ins and outs of the market not waste their time leveling up a character solely for farming (which is a tedious exercise anyway).

lol I tell ya that's what it seems like, jeez I asked for help on my build back in the day and it was like no one would share what they knew for farming or their build. The only time I got help was when I met this one guy just starting out and putting our minds together, we got our builds finished, then I continued to improve my build from there. Mind you it's not posted on here, and that's the way it's going to stay, but at the same time I'm not going to keep all I know about farming and builds for kins to myself, since the best way to learn something is trial and error. That is also why I offered for him and anyone else to join me on my farms if they have questions or doubts.

lol I'm not going to "argue" about this on the net, waste of my time, but I will say this. I was simply joking bout the top secret build mumbo jumbo... XD It seems that people either are too lazy or just to dont want to share what they know bout farms and/or builds.
Two, you can't compare set to another set on this game, every one is different one way or another. As for comparing one fire/kin to another that's pretty trivial to begin with.
Three, there is competing between friends and people that have been trying to prove who is faster and/or better. This much is true since the friend I spoke of in my other post is some what my rival and I whether find it fun and another reason to play this game. You know "Different strokes for different folks" type thing.
