MA Temp Powers

Considering that Developer-made arcs sometimes offer a Temporary Power (such as the Diving Rod) how about the opportunity for us MA Authors to give Temporary Powers for certain missions?

Since the farming problem has been more-or-less stamped into the ground, Temporary Powers won't due much in the aid of farming arcs.

Players could select a Temporary Power to issue from the current list of in-game Temporary Powers.
These would be lost upon finishing/quitting the arc. (Maybe code it so they can't be used outside the AE building?)

Maybe we could go as far as offering our own custom made Temporary Powers?
This could be done by having up to Three (3) Selectable effects (Damage, ToHit Debuff, Hold etc) and a certain number of points which could be slotted into different attributes (Damage, Recharge, Hold etc).

But my original suggestion is just to add already in-game Temp Powers, but custom ones would be good too.

Ooooh! This would be great!

A while ago I had thought it would be really cool if there were special MA exclusive maps, and one was for a council or fifth column map with a functioning armory.

It'd be really cool to have a chance to raid villain armories and so forth in MA missions!

BUMP! Also, they should allow for some enemies to be typed(like Undead, Robot etc.) so they'd be actually vulnerable to certain temp powers. Of course, they'd probably also want to make it so normal temp powers gained outside of AE wouldn't have the effect on these custom mobs.

It would be awesome to be able to design our own temp powers and allow the player to choose which power they get and use in the Arc's mission... Choice is good!


I believe that a Kheldian Gold Standard should be based on SO's, and for anything above that... there's Platinum!

I like this idea. It is better to have a real fire extinguisher then telling the player that his powers are now magicked into being able to destroy fire.

Of course, we need a fire objective as well now. I want to make that rescue trapped citizens inside a building mission.
