Png file, takes on the color around it, well if you trim it nice...

Yes, PNG file with transparency. I masked the 300 dpi version to clean up most of the scan, so I just used the mask to delete the background then shrunk it to 100x100 pixels.

Most editing programs do it. My program choice: Photoshop

Great work here.

Man, I wish I could draw, or find someone who could draw my chars for me. I have 2 or 3 in particular that I'd love to have art for, but my stick-figures don't seem to do them justice.

Threadjack: What does Maiden look like? My main isn't Canadian, but as I live in Ontario now, and LJ is an SS/INV tank, I sort of feel a kindred spirit with you... pm me a screen and I'll spot you a freebie of my choosing.

Hey what are the chances of a Canadian someone asking for art of a Canadian tank, with the same toon gender and AT as the artist who now lives in Canada, and in the very same province? Okay that was rhetorical, put your calculators down and go outside!
