Believe.
Bronx has a few IOs and also some infamy.

I seen that you dont mind holding CC contest. Why not do one instead of giving away money, you give away random rolls.

1st place 5 rolls
2nd place 3 rolls
3nd place 2 rolls

thats only 200 a shot but opens up a few runs on the TF.

It also adds a bit of unknow into the mix.

my merit runner is always moving off recipes to other toons of mine because I get lazy and dont craft everything at once. I crafted 10 items last night and moved off another 6 just so I can get the random drops from the posi I will run tomorrow.

Heh, I've been noodling over giving lots of merits away in a CC, but I'm already hesitant since it mean that some of the winners will be chasing me for a long time.

This is one of my toons, not the one with 9300+ merits though...I've got a few in this range:

Hmm, that place looks familiar >.>

Gawddammit Pum... it is killing me to see all those unused merits/tickets and your toon not having any set bonuses.

You should fill a swimming pool with your riches and swim in it like Scrooge McDuck...

Heh I get hassled by my friends about some of my 'builds' too. Part of the reason this particular toon hasn't been rebuilt is because it is an i4 build, which is hami'd out, and that I have a celerity stealth stuck into swift.

I was always too cheap to chuck away the hamis and I didn't want to go through 5 respecs to pull out all the hamis, but now with dual builds I suppose I can 'archive' the current build. But that would entail spending time building the toon when I could be out TFing...

Yeah...the respec system in this game is awful... I just spent 3 respecs on my WP/Fire tank to unslot a ton of sets which needed replacing with...other sets. Then I have to redo my trays and run back and forth to the base/AH to store stuff, and ... ug.

Basically I feel the same way, wasting 2-3 hours to fully unslot and respec a toon when my whole weeks playtime is only 5 or so hours just doesnt make sense to me.

But I do it anyways... lol.

I must be a masochist. I guess for me the fun is in having the builds just how I want them... regardless of if I actually ever get to play the darn toons. Its a good thing I dont have all those merits/tickets you have, or id just feel more obligated to waste more time spending them and less time actually using the characters at all.

But its a problem I wouldnt mind having

Well if it's villain-side, you can just go to the Merit NPC and trade in those merits for rare/uncommon arcane/tech salvages and saturate the villy market with rares/uncommons at low prices....that'd be nice...

The estimated total of awards in this first contest is approximately 10 billion. I guess I went a bit overboard.

Well, it's likely to get people's butts on deck.

Also, when you consider you're spreading that around over all the winners and various runners up and door prizes, I'm not sure that's overboard these days.

With sufficient funds, you can effectively 'buy' something that normally requires a long-term group effort - a well-appointed base. If you have an idea for a theme SG, or a cool name idea, you can make a new SG and have a massive base overnight by converting influence to prestige. Yes, the exchange rate sucks but, if you're rolling in influence, who cares?

P.S. I have not actually done this, but I did buy an existing VG with base. It had died out and one person found himself the only one left and didn't feel like building it back up and decided he'd rather have some infamy than his own private base. The VG had a name I liked, so I bought it.
i once sold some bad pvper's base for 30 mill.

i still have like 6 keys to 6 different sgs/vgs. i just dont feel like selling at this moment.
