For those unfamiliar with the group, Isolators was started shortly after badges were introduced to the game. This was in the dark, dreary times before global chat, global tells, or even coalition chat. Back then, the only way to find a person from the forums was by chance or pre-arranged meeting.

The Isolators project was started so the people who post here in Victory could actually meet and play together, so that you could have some fun with the people you chat with online. Everyone made a new character for this new group. This is an once a week supergroup that plays every 8 pm Wednesdays.

When the vast majority of the group hits 50, we start a new run of the group, switching between CoH and CoV between runs.

You don't have to be an active forum poster to join, through it's encouraged. At the very least, be a member of the community; run missions, join in advertised task forces, etc.

If you're interested in joining up this run, please feel free to post interest here. Everyone is welcome.

A few notes:
Everyone is not welcome.
This is an once a week sg. If the group ends up at level 20 at the end of the night, please don't show up next week at level 25.
If you're a few levels behind due to playing less, don't sweat it, but try to catch up on your own or with a task force if you can.
We play 8 pm eastern on Wednesdays.

Me too and I've run 2 TFs to try to catch up.

Run more! As I said, 1st respec is a guarantee after tonite. And then Manticore and Katie after the next. Will likely be missing a good part of next weeks session due to work.

Are you trying to run catch up TFs on Mondays, Ham, or what is your plan? Just wondering how to incorporate my catch up time, since The Golden Howler is at 32.

MG and Toril, I'd be glad to run a TF or some missions with you on Saturday or Monday if you want. I'll either bring the Howler if he needs the xp, or whatever else the team needs.

Apparently there is a... patch? We can walk now? Part of me wants to think it's an April Fool's months early, but I don't think so.

Heh. Someone complained that a walk animation was done, while there was still a bug with TFs setting themselves too low. As BAB pointed out, he tried to fix that bug by working on animations, and it was a no go.

Though I think I'd rather have more powerset animations to choose from than walking animations. *sighs* But people want the walking thing too: we can't all get what we want.

Well, this was my first session in the last 4 weeks (was working the night shift). We started out with some DE mission that was pretty much a cake walk. I bumped the difficulty and we ran another DE mission. That one was savage to say the least... After the team wipe we dropped the diff one notch and proceded back. It was a 3 vator lab map, so it took quite awhile to clear out... I think I got about 6 bars on that one :P

Then, we ran some more DE missions, switching to CoT later in the night.... I need better contacts aparently :P

Target level for next week is 34ish.

Anyone up for a 1st respec between now and then? Open to tonite or Monday.

Team Hamster did some random contact missions, started in on Corporate Culture and Unity Plague. May have to drop two missions from Corporate Culture a week; the level 40 PPE's showing up in a level 33 mission was a freaking roadblock. Especially 3-5 at once.

On walking... I really, really hope that this is something that they worked on during lunch or on their own time on weekends. There's so many different things they could be working on. I know they have multiple employees, but still.

It's a joking response to someone complaining that he didn't do something about a non-animation bug. It's a fair way of responding, especially when the poster he was responding to had been around a long time.

Also, one should be careful to complain about something before they know how the system works. Someone complaining about an animation change because they want a code bug fixed isn't all that different than someone complaining to a teacher about how much money is budgeted toward building a new building. Teachers really do not make budget calls ever on buildings, so it's a silly thing to get in their face about.

I know it's not going to stop the complaining, but getting a joking response from a dev on this is a pretty nice/normal response.

Ham, BAB's posts imply that it is something he's worked on piecemeal over the years, and was never allocated development time. He's actually catching some heat for it not being in the game sooner, if you can believe that.

But as I said, it's hackneyed. It's not the first time. He's not the first to do it. Dev Digest has been a joke for quite some time now because of empty commentary and repetitious "jokes". He can either ignore the rants completely, and/or actually make sure the information/disappointment is passed along; both of which would be infinitely more useful than "dur animators broke dah game har har har".

And your example isn't anywhere near applicable.

Well, it's kind of weird... was it just a random, he won it thing, or he got it because he's around a fair amount?

If a few people got a random win of this, I'd probably be okay with it, but if he was the only one... ummm, yeah. Lame. And I'm not sure how that's supposed to make anyone other than him enjoy the game or the devs more.

Hey, if you want a free year, you should try sending the forum mods gift baskets too.

And careful, Polaris. I was once suspended from the forums for four days for asking about the power slotting issue.
