Do many of you keep the squid when you get higher in level
I still use it on my tri-form, but don't think I have any of the Nova-specific powers more than four-slotted, mostly with damage and maybe an accuracy. Nova form itself has to-hit buffs and some end mod (AFAIR).
Depends on the team and what I'm facing. It's still the fastest source of quick damage while soloing, and it's nice for teams as well, unless you are in bad need of a tanker.
You may just have had a long run in with situations where you don't use it as much, or maybe a Kheld you were teaming with didn't have it or choose to use it. If anything, I find it even more useful now that buffs carry over to it... I can have some resists there and even more damage.

Personally, I still make use of the Nova form for pretty much the reasons Grey Pilgrim outlined above - a quick source of good AOE damage. I use it less in the upper levels since I have things like Flare and the ST Strikes to put out some damage in human form, but it still sees regular use.
I'd say you could really go either way. One of my other PBs is human-only and is definately more effective for the extra slots he has to spend from not taking or slotting any Nova/Dwarf powers. On the flip side, my tri-form PB feels more versatile to me and has a few more tricks up his sleeve. You could always try dropping the Nova on your Dual Build and see how you like it, though of course you'd have to slot both alternate builds up to really get a true sense of how one feels versus the other.
Short answer: Is it a good idea to drop Nova? Yes. And no. Is it a good idea to keep Nova? Yes. And no. As with most build/playstyle choices in Kheldians, it comes down to your playstyle, what you want your Kheld to do, and what you find fun.

I have a Human/Nova build. The Nova is ranged defense capped.

Yup. On both m, PB and WS I keep all 3 forms. Depending on the character, I might spend different time in different forms. My PB tends to spend 1/3 in each form when on teams - I change as needed for each situation.

I find Nova Form to be extremely valuable on Hamidon Raids as well as against Praetorian AVs. In fact, if there's a Tanker on the team, I'm free to go Nova or Human as best fits both the team and the situation.
I did however only 6-slot 3 of the Nova attacks (quick ST, Cone and AoE) ... leaving the remaining attack (slow ST) with only the default slot (with merely a common 50 accuracy IO).
I use tri-form PB and WS builds -- I don't know what you do with yours. They are jack of all trades so use everything they do -- Thats why I love playing my Khelds, they are fun to me
So it its totally dependent on how YOU want to play and the situtations you are in the most.
As others have said Nova is a great source of ranged damage. I have 3 of the 4 attacks 5-6 sloted on mine. My PB is blanced to do damage (Ranged/AoE/Melee) in any form for mobs or single target and have almost scrapper cap HP, my WarShade a mob's worst enemy - having capped Res long as enemies are before me and I lay waste to mobs with constant dmg buffed AoE's.
So I don't suggest you drop it unless you do not like blasting ... Human blasts weak compared to Nova and they take up more power slots. So try to stick with it until your into 50 because see its uses and if you like playing that way.

Glad to hear that I don't really need to get rid of it. I love my LVL 37 PB and my LVL 24 WS, they are really fun to play, but I haven't done a very good job of slotting either of them. Like most people it just gets overwhelming having so many powers that look like they need slots. Thanks everyone for the advice.

Yeah, best thing to do is to prioritize powers, rather than spreading yourself thin. I pretty much focused on Nova first, then Dwarf, and fitted in Human powers as I could. Even then, I still have a couple slots to throw Nova's way at level 40: but Nova form does well enough with the slotting I have.
It's a little easier if you don't go tri-form, of course, but I know that I went with my angle from other people's advice, and it works very well for me.

I always keep it on one of my builds (I make one build human-form and the other tri-form), so I find it pretty useful to switch to in certain situations (especially those that require me to stay out of melee range--An option most melee range scrappers don't get while fighting, say, Ghost Widow).

Funny thing with me is that i'm constantly in Nova form unless i'm soloing scaled mobs. In that situation I tend to roll in Dwarf form due to mex resistances. Lately i've been trying the Human only build thanks to AlienOne's guide and truth be told I love Tri-form and Human only builds since Khelds are so unique.
I keep it. One teams they'll some times need the firepower, and I'll stay in Nova almost the whole time. If the tank drops or gets nailed I'll swap to dwarf until they get retoggled or whatever.
I like to keep the versatility available.

On the builds that are human/nova or tri, yeah, I use it late in life as well. There are times that just heading up to blast the heck out of everything is the best solution. Or th emost fun.
I am finding myself using it less and less on my PB who is now level 36, and I don't see many people still use it later in the game, I don't want to get rid of it but I have quite a few slots used there and I am not sure if I am wasting them.
So is it a good idea to respec completely out of it, use less slots or if you do keep it how many slots do you keep throughout the squid form.
Thanks in advance for your advice/help
