24 month veteran reward base power

Is there any reason this isn't being awarded anymore to people receiving there 24 month veteran reward badge?
I got mine yesterday, but didn't get the base warp power on any of my characters.

Yeah, you have to claim it before you can use it, and it has to be claimed on each individual character.

Long activation I gather is to avoid using/abusing the power for "Oh crap" purposes.

But, yeah, it's extremely annoying when I'm using either my mission porter or base porter, only to be interrupted halfway through by somebody dropping an O portal.

O portal is bugged lately, and interrupts all zone out teleports, Base, Wentworths, Pocket D, Mission, etc.

The activation is the same for all of them, and it's long to minimize any potential effect in PvP.

Really? I've yet to run into that particular problem. Is it an every time bug or is it a random bug?

True this. It's not a recent bug, been around at least several months. I too have noticed an O portal some distance away will interrupt, it doesn't necessarily need to be right next to you, although I'm not sure what the min/max distance is that will cause the interrupt.

Ah, this must be why my WW TP dialog popped up and promptly disappeared while in one of the Portal Corp buildings.

Not just PvP, I think - they're also long to prevent them being used as a "get out of a jam free" card in regular play. Same philosophy as the 30-second logout, though why anyone would go so far as to log out just to avoid being defeated by the Vahzilok (or whoever) is beyond me.

100% reproducible. The reason you might not have noticed it is that it's not SUMMONING the O-portal that interrupts. It's when the portal DESPAWNS (due to time-out *OR* the owner going through it).

Oohhhh yeah, I can't say as I've ever run across that situation.. mainly because if there's an O-portal nearby, it's because I'm about to use it

Yep, this bug goes back to day one with the O-Zone.

Well, yeah, but I think you'll find the problem there is that the Ouro portal doesn't conform to that design goal, rather than the other way around. (Maybe they figure that having to land the reticle someplace and then click on the portal is distraction enough if you're in the process of getting your face beaten in, I dunno.)

I suspected this was the case, but I could only personally vouch for the existence of the bug since January/2009 when I first noticed it. This was when I picked up the Mac pack with the Mission Teleporter, which I used frequently.

Prior to that, I didn't use the Pocket D or Base Porter very much, so I guess simply didn't noticed the bug. But, once I started using the mish porter with much regularity, it wasn't long afterward that I noticed the annoying O-portal interrupt bug.

O portal can't be used in PVP zones, and in PVE, you'd need to click the power, click the ground, then click the portal to get out. And enemies standing in the way could cause problems with that last part. It's still a lot easier to use (in PVE) than the other porters though.

Which is my main point, Rod. It's MASSIVELY easier to use then the base tp and pocket d tp. And having it be able to INTERRUPT them as well?
