The latest poll is to see who Fire Brandi will fight, and Daybreaker Alpha is one of the choices...
Seriously, I don't know what it is going to look like, but our match up done by MykeManilla better be epic, I hears it's coloring now, but come on, I wanna see something on it.

Must admit I had lost track and forgotten about that one! Did you ask him and him say it's being colored? If not, I'll pester him about it...
I've been very lax on follow up lately, mainly due to being disillusioned a bit by a couple who've ripped me off and I've not really purchased anything new lately. I really need to go through my correspondance and see what's still pending that I need to ask about.
If I'm not mistaken I saw a new piece for you on DA... and it's scary lookin!

To nitpick, Alpha's optic aparatus is on the wrong side but I can get over that
As for coloring, yeah, he's started shifting those responsibilities to his brother. I'm not a huge fan of that (not that his brother isn't good, just the fact it got switched after the fact) - His brother is the one who did the colors for the Fenian Lady Arete piece...

Then Collin's optic would be on the wrong side...well it's changed since then but the reference I gave him would be wrong.
ahh, fair enough. thought that was a mask. I did look to see if anything on collins would be affected by flipping the pic but didn't realise, no probs
It's funny you mention that.
When this was commissioned I was using the reticle for Collins, now she uses the scanner from i18. so really flipping the image wouldn't really hurt anything.
Ok, massive art dump time since a bunch of things either came in recently or I just "found" them...
First up, the set of arts by Geekboy500 that just got completed:
Each of these arts are meant to convey a moment or a story in the characters life rather than just the typical heroic pose or fight scene...
Daybreaker Alpha at rest. Sometimes, after a hard day (or night) of crime fighting you just need to unwind a bit so here we have Alpha catching the highlight of his battle on PNN (Paragon News Network) while enjoying a cold, relaxing adult beverage...Image is also meant to convey how the armor is always hoving around him as well, always hanging over his shoulder and never letting him fully relax.
The one drawback is that Fenian Wolf cannot take off the helmet or any experiences, thoughts, etc she has while it is off will be lost forever... Thus she almost never removes the helmet.
Still, here we have her having a introspective moment reflecting on the morality and reality of this "life" she lives...
Here we have the scene Fenian came home to after a day of trying to clean up the docks... Seems the Family found out who she was and tried to send a message to her through the one she loved.
After this, Fenian took the whole thing a lot more seriously, actually starting to study magic to make herself more powerful as well as taking to wearing a mask most times while out superheroing...
Next up is some arts by the one, the only, the Foo!
I feel a bit bad that I almost missed this piece! Foo had down a piece on Fenian Wolf (the one of her giving the backwards peace sign) and Foo was a bit slow in sending the final, full sized files... And when he did he slipped in this piece of art as well! I almost missed it since I never looked at the files until just recently. And that would have been a huge shame cause I think this is a totally awesome piece with a fantastic pose!!
Finally, a long overdue piece by Aposcar.
And the colored version:
Egads, I think this piece was a set of three bought... a year plus ago? But I don't hold that against the artist and I don't think you should either. Aposcar kept in regular contact with me, apologizing often for the delay and I continually told him to take his time. I never hurry artists and all I ever ask is that they keep in contact with me so I know the piece was forgotten about... And Aposcar did this so I had no worries.
Anyway, I love this piece.
The last one has a cool Hellboy-ish look to it. I like it.
Also this only took me 5 minutes to do.
Granted it loses some of the pencils texture but then I only had a low rez copy from this page to work with and much of that will get lost in the coloring process anyways.
Point is with a copy of photoshop these days there really is no reason an artist you are paying money to can't get the little things like this done right. You can always ask for it or have it done after the fact if he is not willing.
P.S. Foo's really been working on his foreshortened poses of late and his stuff shows constant improvement. That Fenian piece is a nice addition.
I really like the concept of showing some down time with heroes/villains. I may have to take a crack at that. I only have one so far and that's a bath scene but it's definitely a glammed up and not so natural scene. Meaning she's not looking at whatever is going on in the scene but looking at the viewer. I like how your characters are engaged in the world they're drawn in.
