Dark/Shield Build Thread
He Has a little over 100 mill , he is struggleing to get any more then that , i know it isnt a great deal to make a good build , but hopefully it will be a start .
Yet again thank you for any help you can offer.
What are you doing that you could be getting in over your head? I have a feeling that if your build is anywhere near this, then you just need to rework your strategy.
What I would do at a glance is drop Munitions for something else. I would probably go with Fire, cause you'd get get analogs for the sets you'r using besides sleep grenade. Floating above a Bonfire can be just amazing, because mobs will still *try* to get into melee range.
Power Boost would boost the defense of Stealth, Hover, and Weave. It looks like about 7% on all your defenses while it's up, which could be virtually all the time.
So anyway, I would just change your last four power picks to Power Boost, Bon Fire, Fire Shield, and then Rise of the Phoenix (so at least when you die it's a lot of fun).
Why no explosive arrow? If you could wiggle it in without compromising your aspirations with sets, I so would. I'd take it before Ranged Shot or Stunning Shot, and maybe even before Blazing Arrow depending on what sorts of things you're up to.

This is my archer's build, he's got capped range defense and I took force mastery over munitions mastery. I've heard enough criticism over LRM to figure it unwise to be the reason to chose munitions, over the great utility of force. If you do indeed get over your head (and don't let these guys fool you, we all faceplant alot), nothing will save your bacon better than personal force field and force of nature. And I'd say this build is on the cheap side, all the makos and thunderstrikes are fairly cheap to slot. And i'm a hoverblaster, so I chose hover and fly for my first travel powers, then had the room to get the speed package as well (it's awful nice to have RoA up as often as possible).

Just to give a another point of view for you to look at I'll submit mine. It's a little pricey but not over the top by any means. I focused on ranged defense ( It's soft capped ). As the poster above me, I like to hover blast, however I like the combat jumping + hurdle combo early on as a mini travel power. I like having combat maneuverability with this build as it makes getting into position much much easier. I also took stunning shot and cryo freeze ray as a boss stopper. Total Focus and Air Superiority are a nice get out of my face melee option should you find the need. They afford you the time to get back in the air and into hoverblast range. Don't forget that you can have Hover and Combat jumping on at the same time for added defense.

Nice build Nintova, but I've got a couple questions. You said you took Cryo Freeze Ray and Stunning Shot as a "boss stopper," but Stunning Shot is a disorient while CFR is a hold; I wouldn't think they would stack on each other, so you'd have to hit a boss twice with one of them to lock them down (or Stunning Shot + Total Focus) which sort of seems to defeat the point. I mean, you could cycle both on two different bosses, or team with a controller to stack things, but they wouldn't give the quick one-two lockdown (unless they function differently than I would expect them to).
Second, what is the particular advantage you find in using Air Superiority over Power Thrust, which you are forced to take anyway? They do comparable damage, though Power Thrust would actually "get them out of your face" as a melee option rather than knock them down while you run. If you wanted AS to quickly deal with them while you readied the slow finishing blow with Total Focus, Power Thrust works fine there as well. Queue TF up as PT activates, and you can usually hit them with both even when they're 30 feet away after the first hit; as long as they're still in range when TF starts, it doesn't matter if they're flying across the room while you punch them. Bone Smasher seems like it would be more useful imo.
Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.
The first point is on the head mate. I have them to stack on bosses, or rather the stunning shot used to with my older version. The recharge on this version doesn't allow me to keep them perma stunned so the cryo cycles between shots.
The Air Superiority is really a way to get a ST on it's butt. It cycles fast, hits reasonably well and has that oh so wonderful knockup. Against Lts and lower it's 90% ( it seems like ! ) likely to flip em. That it's a mule too is icing. Power thrust is "ok" but doesn't hit as well as AS in my experience.
As for Bonesmasher... well it's 3x as slow activating and more than 2x the endo cost, doesn't have a -Fly and really the only thing I like is the energy damage it adds. I'm not a blapper so not as interested in spike damage from a melee attack. Different play styles and all that

Would you so kind as to rip my build apart , i am trying to make my lvl 50 archery / energy blaster as strong as possible , im fed up with getting in over my head lol .
