That was my thinking when I first heard about it. I was wrong. And now I know it. =)

I'm not the droid I'm looking for.

MA Arc ID 8121: Rapp'Mas'Ta's War. The Rikti are trying to incorporate sonic effects into their weapons? THAT can't be good. Maybe we should ask them to stop.

So I'm pretty anti-farm, anti-PL, anti-bridging/filling/padding/whatever. I've got a very live-and-let-live attitude towards it all when the people engaged aren't actually crossing the line into exploiting (and when they bother to look at search comments before trying to invite me to participate) but I'm not at all interested in joining in.

This means I'd never known the joy of soloing maps spawned for full teams. Holy crap, is it fun to Lightning Rod into a massive swarm of guys! To actually make frequent use of all the fun but superfluous powers that I previously couldn't convince myself to give up "just in case of an emergency"! To be able to so precisely fine-tune the dangers I'm facing that I can be sure all my characters will have the exact right level of challenge that's fun for them!

Hooray for the new difficulty settings! And hooray for the SSK system too, for making it easier for me to run Super Group events with a wide variety of players. But most of all, hooray for two new archetypes worth of Electrical Powers! WHEE! LIGHTNING ROD!!!

Someone anonymously neg-repped me for this saying...

Glad to see the exploiters are already moving fast on finding new stuff to cheat. Keep providing data for the devs to mine!
So, let me respond to the idiot that sent me that:

1. I was doing that *before* the Merits were increased which means that even with those 'speed runs,' the data mining the Devs do indicated that the arc deserved an increased reward.

2. Doing an arc in just under an hour is in no way an exploit. Compare that to a Task Force in under 20 minutes.

3. The increase in Merits still makes doing this arc in just under an hour a horrible rate of Merit/hour reward compared to running any Task Force.

4. How can you get the Flashback badge for doing an arc in under an hour unless there are some arcs that can be done in under an hour?

5. My comment "I don't want to say anymore. " was because I didn't want to spoil the arc for the one who hadn't done it. Not because I was being cheeky about finding an exploit, which I normally send as a PM to the Devs as soon as I find it.

SSK is one of the most sensible things that came with I16.

1) Teaming with any lowbie team, any friend running a lowbie, and getting xp.

2) No more having someone refusing SK or insisting on being sked to the lowest possible mentor (fubaring any possible contribution from them), going into endless "I can still heal" or "I can still hit" arguments, or even having said bum sneakily dropping sk.

3) Mentor (you as the mentor or you as mentee) hospitalises in a fight or goes out of range, and the mentee drops like a rock.

Internet Tough Guy can now employ the devastating attack "Chocolate Rain". When he reaches level 26, he will have access to the Lazer.

Where did the laser meme come from? I've heard it over and over again, but where is the original source?

By the way, Chocolate Rain = AWESOME use of the power customization. It's so wrong and so right at the same time.

I wasn't going to at first since darkness already fit my main character conceptually wise but I just had to make at least one costume with the blood-colored dark red. Its so awesome looking XD
I was finally able to make a "fire-based" Dark/Dark Defender thanks to power customization.

Also, the new Lobster hero known as Therm O'Dynamic was able to go to Eden after getting his Raptor Pack and grab the much needed Crey Fish badge for his title without having to wait until his 30s.

We've been running Posi TFs a lot in our house. We can start it with our three accounts. It's been quite pleasant to run it while having stamina and getting exp.

ZOMG, Zombie is an xploiter!

See, that's why the LGTF I was on last night was over 3 hours and then failed. I was paying for the sin of having been on one of Zombie's speed LGTF's.

Anyway, one of the other things that I haven't seen mentioned: escorting a lowbie through a high level zone? 2nd level player wants to run to Icon? Just add them to your high-level team and let them run there on their own, even if you're in a different zone.

Of course, the reverse is also true. If you're running through PI on your level 50 and receive an invite to a level 25 team, don't forget that you're now level 25! I haven't died because of this, but I have been surprised to see purple-conning stuff where I expect to see only gray-cons.

I made a brute (Claws/WP), got her to level 5, went to Grandville and bought a jet pack, and then went badge hunting in the Rikti War Zone. Dinged level 6 on exploration badge XP. Got a good many of the RWZ badges, some are too close to the pylons and she isn't tough enough yet to stand up to them.

Heh, I did that sorta too. Made a new character, skipped the tutorial, and before I gained any experience I added a second costume and bought a jet pack in FBZ. I was a little disappointed that nobody asked me how I got my jet pack when I joined a sewer team later....

Similarly, Masterminds who are lackeyed no longer have to wait for their partner to zone into the mission to summon their pets at the correct level. And no more "you've been out of SK range for a minute so we're going to insta-kill your henchmen" either, at least not mid-mission.

Team and feel like I'm being grilled on a gameshow everytime I zone: Nothing says "Are you sure? Positive? Final answer?" than a rediculously annoying pop-up every time you zone AND that it doesn't listen to its own options setting when you set it ten levels below and still get it popping up on a five-below team.

Master of STF; wait, they fixed it before I got this one. Too bad as I actually felt more like an EQUAL rival to Recluse and Co. on the -1 setting.

Look at my difficulty settings and consider what the algebraic formula should read when expanded. I miss just being 'Heroic'.
