PvP Corr?

Getting tired of the mind dominater and looking towards corruptors.

Zone pvp, 2v2, maybe team arena.

So....

1. Is Pain any good in pvp? I heard the regen buff was handy and with phase its very tough to kill, plus paired with sonic should get some good mileage out of it? For pain I was thinking Sonic/Pain.

2. Cold Domination. I know it has no heals, so it is good to pair with Dark Blast? I am not sure how good this will do in 2v2 since it has no ally heal, but it looks good on single targets at least. Also, mids says gloom does less damage than dark blast in pvp? Wth?

3. Radiation Emmission: This is a solid set, but I'm scared all the toggle drops will make it hard for me to blast. (thats my favorite part). Sonic/Rad sounds pretty good.

For this toon I am looking for SOME way to stop runners, I was hoping with cold or rad I would be able to perma suppress them, was also thinking of grabbing Web, Scorp Shield, and Focused Accuracy, along with the Pools Fitness, Speed, Leaping, and Concealment.

I imagine Pain will be best in 2v2 and hardest to kill in zones, Cold will get the most kills, and rad will fall somewhere in between?

I kind of really like the idea of a sonic/pain but someone told me it was "meh" in pvp.

Last I heard Dark/Cold was still good, not as beastly as before but still good.

Elec/Therm is tops I think.

TA corrupters will be fun in zones.. therm and colds are fun, rad can be good if played right... Dark has a pretty huge heal, I prefer those for arena though... don't know how they roll in zone... Fire/sonic are good primaries, elec goes well with therm... rad primary rolls well too, any combo of those will perform well, however if its 2v2 I would say a therm would be the most useful... On mine I have cauterize which saves my usual teammate whos a cold pretty often, also forge is a nice buff... I also took venge and rez which I actually use often in a zone. The debuffs are sweet too. I've tried them all except pain dom however, so I can't really comment on that...

Son/Pain's actually not bad. You've got good damage, good resists, and very high regen. It's not as offensive-minded as a Rad or Cold but it's still a solid build.

Its either dark/cold or sonic/pain, I think I'm going dark/cold cause I will be doing zones more than arena.

Son pain is a lot better in zones than dark cold. At least in my opinion it is. Its extremely survivable and hits like a ton of bricks.

Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.

I'll agree with this statement. It's gotten to the point where if I see the pain cor has his +regen running, I wont even attack him unless I got 1-2 other ranged damage dealers to assist. For zone, I'd say Pain is very good.

Oh well I already made a dark/cold and with the devs help I got him to 48 in about 4 hours of play time...

Alot of pvp'rs in RV champion have thermals...was hoping my cold will help with base runners...cause thats the main problem with therm, Heat Exhaust means instant base run to most people.

people can say what they want, but i have NO issues on my dark/cold in zones and duels...it is underestimated still by people

Dark/Cold's still a great duel toon but it's outclassed by Pain and Therm in zone play. Sure, you can do well on one, but unless you have support or are really good at finding and using geometry to your advantage in breaking up a spike, your lack of a reliable self-heal will hurt you.

I thought that was what phase was for?

Besides, Champion RV always has at least one therm and I know 3 people that are making one too I'm sure the heroes love it.

Only Corr I play with is a Elec/Therm that I duo with the girlie's Elec/Pain. End sappin' bananza.

And in the 90 seconds out of every 2 minutes that phase isn't up?

Sit in the base while it recharges, of course. Isn't that what everyone does?

My elec/pain is pretty nice, not alot of damage but if i team with a more damage oriented toon or have enough exposure the elec/ can do some pretty beasty end drain.

I have an elec/therm, personally, it lacks survivability to make full use out of the end drain. Its beastly but in large zones, you won't get very far becuase of its squishy-ness.

Elec/cold doesnt do too bad, but the lack of a heal hurts it.

Still though, i <3 my elec/pain

Fought Niku's Kin/Elec Defender (on Infinity) with my Elec/Therm last night. Prob one of the most fun I had on the toon. Sapped each other's endurance to nothing as we were trying to get my Power Sink and his Transference off on each other to finish each other off. He ended up killing me with 5hp left.

I agree that Elec/Pain has better survivability but I found that the Elec/Therm had better killing potential for some reason. Our Elec/ powersets are spec'd the same but I would kill a WP/ Tanker in half the time it took her to drop em'.

Her -res debuffs are the same as mine so iunno /shrugs
