Lotta people out there with more money than sense. While it is technically true that a given item is "worth" whatever people are willing to pay for it, at current prices pvp IOs aren't worth it to me.
That said, I hope you're able to get what you're asking for Oz, given the immense shortage of them (ty devs) I'm sure it'll move soon.

edit: I did buy 24 javelin volleys for my PB, but thats just cause they were like 10 mil each at the time, and I could fit em all in without gimping my build.

The prices are worth it for someone like me. I rarely make something new, but play all the time, so I have no shortage of inf, and might as well get the best I can.
Yeah, I mean all my 50s are IOd out how I want them already, but if pvp IOs ever drop more I might retool one or two of them. Probably just my SS/Fire to put the Panacea proc in Health and swap the Doc Wounds set in HF for Panaceas, probably put the +3% def IO on my son/rad corr and/or dm/sd brute.

Granted, I've only managed three recipes from one arena sitting one time, potentially many more could have been acquired. Now, you're limited to a possible six.
And, PvP isn't as it was, so I find trying to acquire all of the necessary pieces and sets, at their current standpoint and price, as too great of a time sink for something sub-par and infrequent.
I'm probably with you and Silas, though. If drop rates were ever increased, I'd likely slot out my lol main and another character's second build for the occasional PvP bout.

He probably means for things he'll use. I'm pretty bad about being impatient when buying stuff but I generally draw the line at 150-200m per IO, those I'll put in a lowball bid and wait for it.
As someone who doesn't currently need any, I am a big fan of these current purple prices though

well kinda have agree paying more then 100mil for 1 IO. I rather wait or aim getting the drop myself. I sold two pvp IOs.... for cheap Resist def for 150mil and malee one for 100mil.. sold the next day. I probably could have gotten more... but i wanted the quick cash. I gotten a GLadiator Armor +3 def awhile back sold it for 450mil.... that was good for back in days.. where you could IO a toon pretty good.
You still can for that amount.
You can soft-cap a character for that price.
You won't have any Uniques from the Heal sets or multiple Gamblers, but neither of those are really needed. They're just desirable flavor.

well again.. you can soft cap a toon.. but I like expensive builds.. you know 7.5's and KB proc's and 10% recharges bonus
