WW's and inactive account
IIRC, it's 60 days of simply not using WW/BM on that specific character- unless things have been changed.

If account goes inactive, it's 60 days. If account is active but you don't log in, there's no limit (since I14).
While it used to be 60 days of not logging in and going and actually talking to the contacts at WW or the BM, it is now unlimited.
Alts on all servers, lvl 50 of every AT:
lvl 50 Heroes on all servers but; Pinnacle, Victory
lvl 50 Villains on all servers but; Guardian, Pinnacle, Triumph, Victory
Current Projects: Tanks
Official MOM of Tribal Alliance

Now I know I was simply wasting all that time

Thanks for all the quick and good info everyone. Gonna take another break I think, not sure how long, and wanted to know if I needed to UN-WW everything. Heheh.

This is only true for active accounts inactive accounts will still have their market slots purged after 60 days to the best of my knowledge.

The change was in Issue 14 release notes (note they specify "active" accounts but kept the employee warning regarding inactive accounts):
Black Market / Wentworth's Consignment House

"Chew Electric Death, Snarling Cur!"
And then repeat times 50+. And of course, you have to remember WHICH badge they still need. I do work on some of the day job badges, but only on a few characters, and even then I only go after a couple (generally which ever one would benefit them the most).
|
Also, instead of doing them all at once, why not one server's worth per day each week? That is how I've been doing it (Monday - Liberty, Tuesday - Protector, Wednesday - Freedom, then Thursday is Virtue and my off servers of Justice Champion and Guardian). When a character reaches the 21 day mark, he then either goes to a new day job, or charges up an accolade for one week. Much easier to manage that way.
Then once various characters get all the day jobs (I have a couple that are close, and several who are at least close to getting all the ones available at their current level), then they will go through and top off all their powers.
Sure, it's easy, but that doesn't mean it isn't time consuming. Just logging in & out all the characters on one server would take a minimum of 4-5 minutes, completely ignoring any load times, moving the character to where they need to be, or even looking up to see which badge they still need! All that adds up to a good bit of time, and when you're already don't have too much time to play (curse you social life! ) it gets a bit hard to rationalize doing it instead of other things (like making pointless videos, or posting stupid posts on the forums, or tricking people to watch hilarious videos... I had the perfect oppertunity to play that video in front of 800+ people a couple weeks ago on a massive screen with totally legit reason to do it... and I just didn't think about it! ).
None of that is to say it can't be done, but just that the amount of time, for me, isn't really worth the effort for the reward for the vast majority of my characters (I really don't care that much for badges).
(and curse you! now I wanna write a little app to keep track of which day jobs a character has! I hate you all! )

Ya see, it'd be a nice change of pace from only writing incredibly complicated low level junk (i.e. a physical memory manager) and incredibly obscenely high level demo applications (i.e. something showing off the use of a 'loop' in a language that makes BASIC look like brain[censored] by comparison), which have been mostly all I've been working on lately.

In regards to tracking Day Job needed on a toon, I just follow the in game sequential list at ParagonWiki.
That way, I just go down the list for the toon and when I see one that needs to be done, I just move the toon to that location. If I can't get to a location (ex: level 9 toon can't get to Cimerora), I move to the next one on the list.
Are you telling me that I don't have to log in every 60 days on all my alts on active accounts anymore? I have lost so much auction items - on active accounts - to the 60 day rule that I hate it intensly.
But now its gone? I can go 200 days on an active account without logging in and not lose the stuff I have in WW? Really?
if this is true, this is my happiest COH day in a long time. This is even better than a longer duration for SB

Does the 60 days start when the account becomes inactive, or does every character already logged off for 60 days suddenly wipe?
I try to read everything and absolutely remember reading all about I14, but somehow I missed this. YAY! This is great!
*Dances around in the street"
The only thing I'm concerned about is what if your credit card expires? or you use paypal or timecards to pay for your account? or you have to change your payment method for any other reason? and there is a slight lapse while you fix it.

Only way to know for sure is to hit up a dev/comm folk to ask a dev.

If you are really curious, you can make a trial account, put some otherwise worthless stuff up on the market (at a price high enough that no one in their right mind would bid on it), then let the account expire. After say, 65 days, go ahead and reactivate it for a month and see if your stuff is still there.
Actually, a much better test would be:
1) Create trial account and put stuff in WW.
2) Do not visit WW again.
3) Let account expire.
4) Re-activate and check WW *FORTY DAYS* after expiration.
This will tell whether the count starts with your last visit to WW or when the account lapses.
Edit: P.S. It's not worth $15 to me to find out.

How long will things remain in WentWorths if account goes inactive? I found it once on here, but cannot find that info at this time. I'm pretty sure I read that if you let your account lapse, after a period of time, your items and money from sales go "poof". IS this correct, and can someone please point me to the source?
