i16 Superteams!

i16 is going to bring a renaissance of superteams and themed teams. I participated in TopDoc's Fire/Rad superteam a few years back and it was awesome. But there was always a problem juggling SKs/Exemps.

We managed because we had critical mass. But most superteams end up eroding then falling apart because inevitably there's level drift due to uneven participation. But come i16 and the new Super Sidekick system, you'll just get whoever is logged in and go! It's exciting because a lot of these themed teams are a blast and it's always so disappointing when they sputter out. But now it'll be a piece of cake to keep 'em going.

I had finally grown calm about i16, and now I've worked myself into a lather over it again.

Well, superteams are about team work through boosting each others effectiveness, among other things (description is much more than that, obviously ). While a bunch of brutes would be powerful, it wouldn't be a superteam in the sense that the OP means it. (aoe brutes + kin corrs, fire/rads etc)

Yeah, I probably should've made the title "Superteams and themed teams!" but that doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. It's true that a traditional superteam has a force multiplier effect built in so that you get some kind of stacking buff/debuff that makes them scary-powerful. But I've seen plenty of themed teams that are just as fun. An all-Claws brute team would be an example of that. (As to Kitsune's "Why Claws?" Because it's new to brutes.)

Both superteams and themed teams are fun, and they're both a pain in the butt to keep going past about 3 or 4 play sessions pre-i16.

And I was going to edit it to say "in the sense that I think the OP means it."

This, and my idea on protector, which if I get rolling there will be plenty of screenshots - even if we don't use that server OR continue, it'll be ... heeehehehe fun. No I'm not saying what.

Amen. Archery is a godsend, one we need more of in this day and age.

Also, props to the OP for spelling renaissance correctly.

[RP Virtue]Psi: Bwaha. Getting the final hit with [Kick] is awesome. It's just like "*Kick Crotch* *crumple over*"
